You mean a part from all the ones that are for sale on the in game market for isk ?

I see them as being in the same group as plex. They are only created by ccp and can only be introduced into the game if you spend real life money, but after that they are just like any other in game item.

Neither does a car. You drive it off the lot, it loses a big chunk of value.
