So I know some of you are going to cringe on what I'm about to say. I personally think this “game” has always been **** up. Some people just cannot help taking it to extremes. It's safe to state that the nerds that live in this fallacy known to us as Eve are truly “OTT”. These extremists are worse than those suicidal World of Warcraft players. The Eve-Online community if you call it that - is divided and argumentative beyond belief. I've seen people argue over nothing but pixels - it's that stupid. I mean all you have to do is open up one random topic in this forum to realise that it's filled with so much nonsense and negativity it leads a sane person to question there participation.

I understand that this fictitious universe is suppose to emulate a harsh reality of space. I understand some peoples frustrations in the beginning. Then they feel the need to vent there emotional disgust. Without any hesitation or remorse those trolls dive right in dishing out nothing but hatred. I've tried to read some posters legitimate queries only to find my self repulsed by the use of language and derogatory remarks that pertain these baboons know better. Eve-Online is supposed to have a more mature membership but in most cases using my old friend World of Warcraft as a comparison makes if very difficult to believe the age level is any different.

So I've got a couple of choices to choose from. Tolerate a game which is supposed to be a sandbox. In reality it's nothing but a database filled with multiple choice with continuous restrictions.

Or I leave and await for something that appeals to my liking.

I don't know about you guys but I've seen some alternative games currently in development which could seriously jeopardise Eve-Online. I for one am wanting something way better and I've heard talk in and out of Eve that when a particular game is released people will be making a move. I've seen the videos read the articles and I'm telling you all it looks amazing.

I've seen some amazing players simply quit the game. They've seen enough to know that the problems Eve-Online creates just isn't worth the hassle as a game. I for one agree. That's because EVE has brought out extremism in and out of game. An example is where I witnessed a denial of service attacks on TeamSpeak and website severs just before an operation. I'm glad I wasn't paying the bill but to think over 200 people were denied some fun for a couple of weeks because of this nonsense for a game.

I've got 8 days left on this account I've come to the conclusion it is the end of Eve for me. I've seen enough had enough of the sheer crap this game brings. From the poor customer service to the World of Warcrap mentality then the bugs, bots glitches and lag.

So Last night I deleted all my 2005 characters with there assets.

I wish you all the best of luck and good luck in killing one another. I'll see you in another game :)

Dude, if you think EVE is the only game to be hit by DDoS attacks, well, you've got your head in a bag. Also, if you think this community is toxic, then you must not play any other games, or if you do, then you don't ever interact with any of the other players of those games. Seriously.

But anyway. Good luck, have fun, and enjoy your life.

You obviously never played IL2 Sturmovik. A niche game like this one, but with a real solid community back in its peak. If every thread and post in this forum was made by Chribba, it still wouldn't come close to being as helpful and have as many third party sites as they did.

People made single and multi-player missions, skins, data bases, specialty forums and much much more. Even the trolls trolled with wit and charm instead of abrasive ignorance..

Man I miss the heady days of my combat flight sim youth.

That is a poor comparison.

There are more similarities between the two than EVE has with 90% of the MMOs that are out now.

The comparison is valid.

Absolutely. Oleg and co. have a kickstarter for a WW2 version of DCS. You might want to check it out. Hopefully it has a better future than the abortion that Cliffs of Dover turned out to be.

Edit: and can I have your... Oh, never mind, you biomassed.

You bio-massed your characters in an emo rage? What a nerd. I kind of want to know what his real grievance is, in terms other than "the players are ******."
