who would ever trust a pilot named "popblues420420"?

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

It's OK, we still love you, and we don't believe a word of the lies of mean ol' OP.

In fact, I should invite you on a few of my L4's! They're mining L4's, though, and I usually AFK in my T2/faction-fit Mac, but hopefully you won't mind.

Allow me to explain the moniker, so you wont make the same mistake again. Read it slow, so you can understand.

Now, first we have the word "pop". This can have many meanings, but in EVE, the word pop is used colloquially to describe the act of destroying another players ship and or pod. It may come from the perception that a ship exploding would make a popping sound due to the introduction of the air contained within to the vacuum of space (physics in real life actually prevent sound from being produced in a vacuum environment, but i digress) or simply that your ships hull has been compromised and is no more. Ergo, it is safe to assume that the first part of the player's name in question means to destroy a ship.

Secondly, we have the word "blues". Also can refer to different things, but in EVE, this is referring to an option to set a certain player to a certain status to another group of players. Most of the time, being set to "blue" confers a "friendly" status to that player or group of players.

Now, after analysis of the first two parts of the callsign, we can ascertain that the pilot intends to "pop blues". That means he intends to kill people set to friendly status! Uh oh!

But hold on, we arent done yet.

Next, we have the ubiquitous "420" tag that stoners feel the absolute need to attach to their names. Because for some strange reason, they think we give a **** if they are high or currently smoking something they arent suppose to be. In this case, the "420" device has been used twice, catapulting the pilot straight into the doucherocket status. Photo can be found @

He is most likely incapable of keeping his attention focused on anything more than awoxing people stupid enough to warp to him, and laughing hilariously at those who do.

If there is matter in space (this includes "air"), then sound is always produced.
It's only an argument now of how far it propagates and at what frequency to predict if one would hear the sound(s).

If there is matter in space (this includes "air"), then sound is always produced. So you're wrong there.

You did at least send VR a mail about it though, right?

I've had the pleasure of being acquainted with popblues420420. He's an honest gentleman and a straight shooter who goes out of his way to help new players.

I've also had the misfortune of being acquainted with folks who make up lies in C&P in an attempt to extract ransom from people with money who are trying to join a new corp. You're not the first to pull off this sort of trick and you won't be the last.
