Being the CEO of a not-for-profit organisation I was a bit nervous using the isk my charity has earned from item donations in Erotica's doubling business.

I can happily report that the value of those generously donated items have just been doubled. Erotica, I thank you for your service on behalf of the poor, new and underprivileged capsuleers of New Eden. These extra funds will go a long way to helping those in need.

I was sitting in Jita 4-4, waiting on some PI buy orders to turn over.
I stood to make 80m that day if all went well.
Big money.

I inevitably got bored, and once I had blocked all the spammer and scammers, i absorbed some tears from a fresh scamming victim whining in local, then noticed a toon speaking in awe about Erotica 1.

I unblocked him to see what all the fuss was about. I read his rules, chatted him a bit.
His game was refreshingly original, and well thought out, so i decided to risk 600m.
If I lost it, he deserved it for having put so much effort into his scheme.
if i won, well thats an easy 1.2b.

I sent the isk, and was promptly invited to a group chat, where like so many banner adds i was greeted with:

"Congratulations!! You're the 100th client, you win a bonus round. 5x payout if you make it to the end."

My initial reaction was to find the X, but went against my better judgement, and decided to play.

I was told I had to give complete trust to this stranger who was probably a scammer.
I had to empty my wallet and LP. I had to contract all my assets. My Special Edition Gifts from CCP, a 30 PLEX i had for a rainy day. Everything.

Complete trust.

I then had to empty my next toon and the next, even turning over their tax dodge corporations.

I even had to strip all my vanity items from my toon. Anything that could be liquidated.

I was then told to repeated undock in my sole posession: my pod, accept a duel, which i would lose, while singing songs on TS3 like "I Kissed a Girl - Katy Perry" "Ring of Fire - Johnny Cash" "Nothing Else Matters - Metallica" "Zombie - Cranberries" "Oops I Did It Again - Brittany Spears" and countless others.

I couldnt even keep my dignity as a shower singer.

I then had to read about St Olga of Kiev, who Erotica 1 has been compared to in the past.
I had to read minerbumping.com, where i got a lump in my throat that James 315, who was so greatly admired by the people who now hold everything i have worked to achieve in 4 years, was an old nemisis i went up against years ago.
I had to read his code, faqs, and about from his page, alloud while recorded on TS3.

I even was reminded about a famous corp theft from my now mothballed alliance from years ago(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVZLsDxemA0).

Now i stand to either lose everything, or gain ~25b worth of assets and isk.

I had a ship that belonged to a friend that died overseas. I didnt want to give it up, so they made me come up with the isk. I dont have friends in eve anymore apparently. I resorted to chribba who agreed to hold it for me till i could pay him back the 200 mil it was worth. Then they hit me with a random "Red Pen" violation worth 30mil because god forbid i attempt to duel James 315. Chribba had understandably hit his limit on scam bleeding. One nice fella who would be a victim tried to raise the 30 mil, but only managed 8. As downtime approached i broke down. I realized the one stable source of fun for the last 4 years had finally come to an end. All of my friends i used to play with either no longer play or died overseas. I no longer have the assets to play on my own. Games over. I lose. I lost everything. The only item i have is my friend Maelstrom that was purchased back by the only person with a soul who knew what was going on. I gave the nice guy his 8 mil back. I put away my friends maelstrom. Im done. Eve is no longer fun for me. Dont play his game.

Fairly certain youre an Erotica alt, if not ignore the rest, if so take it to heart.

You dont get to say "Complete Faith" then when i follow every rule to the letter, and have nothing left to give, force me to be dependent on the faith of others as well. Thats when you cheated.

1) This thread needs to return to the dark, deep, hellish depths of the C&P purgatory where it came from.

I will say I was in Jita 4-4 bored one day and was watching the local scam channel which we all call Jita. I saw Erotica 1 and was bored and decided to try him out and see what happens. I was very surprised when my ISK was actually doubled... twice. http://imgur.com/cyUSUJa I am not an ALT and YMMV but Erotica 1 did double my ISK.

The rules are, and i quote," Each investment must be at least 2x what you received just prior." This is why you always have people slandering Erotica 1's name. You guys don't read the rules, or even listen to what you're being told to do. Its no wonder why people like the man a few posts up lose bonus rounds.

Such a shame really.

I imagined at least one person would have looked at the image. The person complaining about it appears to be colorblind or something. The client got his isk doubled twice in this picture. There was no extra amount. It was doubled.

As far as the sad tale mentioned just prior, I had trouble sleeping that night. It always affects me when a lucky player cannot make it through the bonus round with full faith. The curse of the red pen seems to live on. This client had tried to take out James 315 a year ago, even seeking out mercenary assistance. This put him on the red pen list, where a mining permit costs triple. All he had to do was remove himself from this list by paying for his permit.

Even Chribba would not help our player out. And so the client's fate was sealed. Karma came back to get him. Remember this lesson.

When you walk through the doors of a casino you are consenting to the rules of the establishment.

If you gamble and put your chips down after the croupier says "no more bets please", then that bet is annulled even if your numbers would have come up.

Smart kids hedge their bets, play by the rules and subsequently prosper.

I've witnessed many a capsuleer "Self Destruct Belly Up Ahoy", by smugly covering both red and black absent mitigating the possibility that the roulette ball will land in the number 0 pocket effectively throwing a spanner in the works as a rotten egg appears in the "payout pot" basket.

I continue to be shocked, saddened and lost for words every time I observe rambunctious, unsavoury and hostile behaviour characteristics exuded by pilots reacting to the realisation that "beans were burnt" due to their own inabilities to heed the cooking instructions on the back of the tin.

A sad state of affairs indeed

It's unfortunate that you were unable to stay the course and follow the rules of the game. Such an amazing opportunity wasted.

I'd ask if I could have your stuff, but I guess thats pointless since you gave it all to Erotica1 already.
