Same here...seeing as others can log in, can it be steam login issue?

same here.

I filed a petition.

Also using Steam on Windows 7 64-Bit.

It was fine before the daily downtime.

I tried a recovery as well which didn't work.

Yeah im havng error code as well. Any way to fix this? (Also using steam and windows 8)

The exe directly in steam app folder works for me.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Eve Online
Then click eve.

EDIT: I guess this is a temporary solution. And I guess it has something to do with steam.

Confirmed. It works - but as Warna said - this seems to be only a workaround.

tried that, and it tells me to input username and password. Problem is that as a steam user I dont have that info.

But when I start it like this, I need to login, and it doesnt give option to login through steam. I only have steam account, no separate Eve account.

The EVE launcher is currently experiencing errors when trying to log in through Steam. We're investigating and are working on a fix ASAP.

Tried your steam username and pwd?

also having this problem. after looking around at various topics, i am very surprised to see that the MMO i got through steam can ONLY be accessed through steam. this is a very worrying bug.

hoping we get a fix fast, all the best mining is right after the restart after all. and my skill que only has 22 hours left.

A fix has been deployed and you should only have to restart your launcher. We apologize for the inconvenience.
