CCP, please see my suggestion in this thread: Dual-Character Training Counter. Dual character training is much appreciated but we could really use some assistance in the "when did I PLEX my dual-trained character" arena.

The things we do today we must live with forever.... Think about it

In response to this thread, we are looking into displaying the Dual Character Training as well.
I cannot say that it'll be there on release day for sure (I wish I could) but it's on our list of features to include. Smile

The elements (which would all be animated) would be for your default (favorite? last used) character. And would be the following.
Current system background
Nearest celestial (planet)
Current location (station or ship)
Your avatar

Then you could have your other elements over the top (current ISK, Skills, other characters).

Regarding implants, how about removing implants on the fly? Without docking. It's illogical, you don't need surgery to remove them?

The wormholers would come for you. A lot of stuff is allowed outside of stations because w-space folks don't have them. Once we actually get POSes you can dock at that will likely solve the issue.

I don't like how there's a single login button positioned at the very bottom.

I think it would feel much cleaner if each panel had its own login button attached to it to one-click enter.

Highlight currently training characters in some way, such as making their login boxes slightly bigger, or colouring them in some other way.

CCP can make Ship Maintenance Arrays to do this, per example.

I do not like the way I cannot see my entire training skill, I do not know if this is final but it does make it akward only being able to see the first skill in the Queue. Means I have to login to each toon if I have dual training on the go and cant remember how many days left on my queue, if I have a skill thats less than 24hours in front of it..

Other than that I think its a nice revamp and am happy with it good work :)

I want a character selection screen as a tool to get a quick glance at all the important stuff for my characters. The new screen is an improvement at that.
Though it would have been even better, if there was a list on the left, with the same info the new one has now (or rather including the stuff that is to be added in the new build). Clicking on one of the infoboxes would then reveal either a picture or a fully animated character within a square portion of the screen. So 9x9 for the portrait or the animation and 7x3 for each infobox of the character stacked ontop each other. This would also add the benefit to see ones own characterportrait in full glory in the game at least once.


Edit:
Also having the Corp and Alliance Logos not in the picture would definitively be an improvement.

Whoever designed that selection screen should be fired. The most ugly unreadable and terrible design I've seen in a while.

I'm getting a blank screen every time I launch my test client

Edit: switching to dx9 solved the blank screen problem, but now I get the old character selection screen
