Yeah.....

Hulks aren't what they once were. Once, they were the undisputed masters of mining. then came the Barge balance. Now:

Procurer/Skiff=Lowest mineral gain, Beefiest tank

Retriever/Mackinaw=Low tank, largest mineral bay, medium mineral gain. Barge ganker's bread and butter.

Covetor/Hulk=Don't drop that frying pan on that ship or it will blow up tank, TINY mineral bay, BEST mineral gain--only to be used with haulers. Makes Barge gankers drool in anticipation.

But to sum things up:

Orbit with Afterburner in a fully tanked Skiff (Procurer until then) makes it hard for gankers to gank you, and bumpers to bump you. You'll mine less ore, but are far less likely to get ganked. IIRC he says his fit takes 10 gank catalysts to take down? And getting a warpin for all ten to gank before CONCORD shows up for an ABing Skiff/Procurer......it's POSSIBLE, but a PITA. and not generally worth it.

Retriever is a lovely little ship, if some nasty peeps take a shine to it, you can replace it easily
