Muck Raker Arrested??!!

Since reporting on a story about Black Eagles, the highly acclaimed reporter Muck Raker has gone missing!

Muck Raker, capsuleer, veteran correspondent reported on a story that Black Eagles had been attempting to suppress an Impetus script about a holoreel movie involving Tibus Heth. Since that report was filed no one has seen or heard of Pilot Raker!

Shocking!

After filing a missing person's report, local police and her landlord entered her apartment to see if she was there and describe this scene:

"I've never seen such a mess in my entire life! I can't tell if the place was ransacked or she just lives that way..."

Disturbing!

Talking to friends, witnesses and fellow correspondents all said, "don't worry... she'll show up... she often disappears for considerable time in search of stories..."

Unconcerned!

However, key facts remain unanswered... Black Eagles have been spotted in the area and when asked about Pilot Raker's disappearance SDII public affairs stated that "They refuse to comment about ongoing investigations. The disappearance of a Gutter Press Reporter is a matter for the local police to handle."

Typical!

Now combined with the political ramifications of a reported return of Tibus Heth this disappearance is more deeply suspicious. Is this an assault on the free press in the Federation? An attack on reporters and the holoreel industry?? Were Executive Orders signed to begin mass arresting reporters throughout the Federation?

As a concerned citizen I appeal to the Federal authorities to release Muck Raker immediately or present her before a magistrate and be informed of any charges being brought against her. If she is in the hands of the Black Eagles then this matter will escalate to a petition before the Senate!

I appeal to anyone who knows about the whereabouts of Muck Raker to please come forward so we can be assured that freedom is not under assault in the Federation! Please join me in petitioning authorities for her immediate release.

Attacks on the free press must stop!!

Though to be fair, you are pretty good at mimicking Gutter Press's style. Perhaps you should consider employment there.

I spoke with Madame Raker but a few hours ago in the Summit.

Sometimes, something must be said for the quality of her outlet, when compared with this.
The Black Eagles really aren't as stupid as you are want to make them out to be.

Whether they are good or bad for our union, and I won't pass judgment on that here in this place, they are professionals and they are hardly the bumbling thugs you're trying to paint them as. When will this sorry attempt at Impetus 'viral' advertising end? We all need to take a deep breath, focus on the real issues facing our freedoms, and stop fanning the flames of nonsense.

That starts with you, Sorjat. Cool your heels.

I do hope Ms.Raker is unharmed and the neural probes did no lasting damage. I think it would be a great loss to the galaxy is she were unable to work as a reporter again.

As for your accusation of 'fanning the flames of nonsense' I take the issue of Gallentean freedom very seriously. I also think I have demonstrated that 'asking authorities nicely' doesn't work.

"They are professionals and they are hardly the bumbling thugs". Are they? some reports suggest otherwise. Not just bumbling thugs but politically motivated thugs acting without oversight... which is something far more sinister. Your telling me it 'ain't so' fails to convince.

Please ask Ms.Raker to answer any one of her numerous communication devices or indeed talk to us in IGS to know that she is unharmed.

Gutter Press sent an investigator to Muck Raker's residence to examine the evidence.

After stepping out of the shower, our investigator saw the face of a Gallente woman, answering to Muck Raker's description, in the mirror.

"Aren't you dead?" asked our reporter, and the image of Muck Raker mirrored our reporter's movements, before replying "Do I look dead?". Our reporter then smiled and remarked "Actually, you look pretty good", to which Muck Raker responded, "Put on some clothes and post on the IGS, you silly".

Stepping away from the mirror, our investigator realised, with horror, that she was in fact Muck Raker!

SENSATIONAL!

Gutter Press is happy to report that Muck Raker is in fact, not dead or kidnapped!

When one considers a 'long shower' a Black eagles abduction, one must consider the issie that new slang suurfaces more often in the Federation than many realize.

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, [u]please[/u] give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

In hindsight, perhaps calling the local police, Ms. Raker's friends, family, work colleagues, the Federal Government, the SDII, the Black Eagles, hiring a private investigator, checked all of her known hangouts, every local bar and finally getting the police to enter her premises was a bit of an overreaction. Somehow, rumours got out of control and it seemed that Ms.Raker was a victim of foul play at the hands of her own government. Neural probes, torture... I feared the worst! I assisted as I could and I apologize for any inconvenience to all concerned.

I'm a little surprised however, to hear that after searching everywhere that no one, except a Gutter Press reporter searched and found her in the shower!

SHOCKING!

How could that be? I was not allowed to enter her premises when the police and landlord went in, I was merely informed that she was not in fact there... they did however, linger suspiciously by the bathroom for a while... I just thought they were being thorough.

I now consider the matter closed, however, on glancing in her home...I have to ask... Ms.Raker, could you please explain the slashed mannequin in your living room??
