I'm still amused that he asked me for my combat log.

I should pull up my Rokh kill from two days ago, where I was tanking damage from that and a Hyperion and a pair of POS guns while webbed from a POS web and while being ECM'd in a Navy Brutix, just for posterity's sake...

Wait... here it is. When you open it, just push ctrl-f and type in 'Rokh'.

You complaining for 400 damage hit? I have been hit by minmatar tempest faction battleship npc for over 1200 damage in one hit. I was flying hawk with afterburner doing 800 m/s. Lol

If this is true, Eve takes first steps to the right direction. Actuall NPC's should deal as much damage you do.

I've just gotten back into missions for those SOE ships, and I haven't noticed any difference in how much NPCs hit. Even done the final room in Angel Extravaganza with no problems. The tank on my Rattlesnake held up like it always has. Maybe you've done something to your ship? Check for damaged modules? Maybe your sig radius is more than it used to be?

Point of fact, I just flew a mission in a ship fit with light missile launchers, three of them. Just using those missile launchers, I'm getting 400+ damage per hit.

In an Eris fit with three light missile launchers.

An Eris.

An Eris is not a battleship, not even close.

I've been recently doing missions and noticed NPCs are getting really good consistent hits. So I investigated this further and found a few things.

Looking at the combat log I found the NPCs getting big hit numbers even with resistence over 80%. I looked at the NPCs themselves during combat and they adjust their position so finely now that their ships turn almost perfect to your position. Battleships for example twist and track with such precision they're able to make big hits on even fast targets. Flying my Tengu at over 600 m/s, the battleships are still able to strike heavy damaging hits, I've even see hits of over 400-600, which I've never seen before while doing missions.

WTF has CCP done to the NPCs? Smaller ships track so well now, especially laser turrets which seem to consistently hit, and seem to ignore high resistence with silly random damage. The same can be said about rails, I thought it was due to the buff so the NPCs ships got it but it just seems to be the quality of hits have been vastly improved by the precision and tracking of the NPC ships. I find this very annoying, I mean I don't mind that missions are harder but this is just silly, watching huge battleships twisting around with such agility.

Just because those are rats doesn't mean they should be paper tank and weak dps, actually I don't know where you're missioning but I can already say you're doing something wrong, plus a well fitted Tengu with 850dps and about 35KEHP can already clean 10/10 without warping out if you know what you're doing so, missions it's overtank.
You're either doing something wrong or have poor Tengu skills, if want that thing to really work your goal is all 5's and nothing else.

I know what rime is. If that's the word you intended, then in that context, it makes no sense, in which case you're still illiterate. Just because you used a real word doesn't mean you made any sense, and it doesn't mean you didn't intend the correct one that sounds the same P

I see, however, that you're trying to be clever by pointing out the part where it says it is a 'variant of rhyme'. Sure, if you lived before the 12th Century, it's a perfectly acceptable version of rhyme, since that's how it was spelled back then. They also didn't use any punctuation in those days. The word isn't used anymore though in that context. It's listed as a variant because it WAS a variant.

Really, I have a college level text book that exclusively uses the word "rime" in favor of "rhyme". Its like "color" or "colour".

But what ever +1 internet for you for winning an internet argument. May you gloat forever on this auspicious day.

The OP made a subjective observation, posted about it and from there on the thread went downhill like the hit points of a civilian fitted Rifter in a C5 Sleeper site. And believe me when I say that I know from personal experience that certain Sleeper ships can in fact dish out ludicrous amounts of damage.

As salvaging this thread would reduce it to only a handful of posts, and as such is not deemed worthwhile, it gets a lock.
