At the least it would be interesting if some modified Jove tech got leaked into the markets.
Something like a Jove Nanite enhancer or efficiency module that would cost say 100mil/isk and improve a single ship system like a blanket increase to shield resists by 10% or an extra 100 calibration to the rig slots. Maybe it could change a high slot into an extra gun hard point.

Err, you do realise that the PVE players are the majority and without them the game would not be financially viable, so it is the supposed PvP elite that are the parasites.

... and a small select group of short-bus riders do nothing but PvE.

Reguardless, Eve was designed from the ground up to not be like other games. It was designed to be brutal and hostile at every turn.

Of course, then CCP got a taste of carebear money, and now they're focused on re-designing eveonline to be a giant Grind/Collector game just like Guildwars / World of Warcraft / Etc Etc Etc.

Jovian ships and technology seem to have attained a semi-mythical status and I wonder how much is exaggerated.

Yes there have been cases of GMs with OP ships - but are these "real" or are the GMs basically playing Eve with cheats enabled?

The Jovian ships that were part of the initial game design were not that OP. In fact compared to the new pirate ships they seem inferior.

And lastly, while the Jovians had a clear upper hand against the Amarr fleet, that was partly due to superior tactics and not just technology.

I don't think we should assume that if Jovian ships ever did get into player hands they would be all-powerful I-WIN buttons. They might be no better than the best pirate or faction ships.

Way back in the day you could very rarely find a Jove fleet in your belt. You ran cause their frigs hit harder than a dread. Assholes nuked my first thorax. You know how hard it was to get one early in the game? ******* hard.

its ok though your a goon so you probably deserved to get a spanking for trying to gank one of their frigs.... was it mining?
