Hello fellow pilots of Eve o/

Thank you dev team for working on scanning and making it a great deal easier to use.
Please could you add better loot or at least increase the drop rates of good loot.
I spent a few hours hacking sites in low and made a few hundred thousand isk.
I was chatting to a buddy on TS who was scanning sites in null and he managed to make just over a mill.

Is anyone else make money from hacking data sites?
Back in the day I remember making millions from HS data sites.

try low sec or null

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

they're pretty worthless imo. plus nobody seems to know how to value BPCs (i don't) so they go on the market for peanuts. and there's a glut of them also...

relic sites in low can be worthwhile, good income by highsec standards anyway. and low risk in a covops in terms of travel and getting ganked at the site.

the market price has tanked because there's way too many people doing those sites. putting in higher drop rates of good loot would only make the price drop even further.

What is needed is the rats in the data/relic sites to make a reappearance so one would have to have a combat capable ship rather than a covops
This is my signature. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.  Without me, my signature is useless. Without my signature, I am useless

like the combat capable covops faction cruiser about to hit the market?

i suppose it's riskier if those cost the same as other faction cruisers but people who trained into T3 or HACs will still complain bitterly.

EDIT: you know, maybe they are going to put the rats back if they're releasing these SoE combat ships, that would make sense.

You're doing it wrong. Stop writting complaints and start reading (preferably a guide).

I stopped doing sleeper relic and data sites since Odyssey.

Odyssey: Repacking in POS hangars for modules +1,  but please for other stuff too, especially containers. Make containers openable in POS hangars.

I make at least 1b a month exploring. And I mean no more than 2 hours a day. So yes as mentioned you are doing it wrong. And no I am not telling how.
It is so easy now I would not be surprised if they put rats back soon.

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

That sort of makes sense, gives the SOE ships an instant use.

T3s, HACs, Covops, meh, explorers have learned they need to move onto different ships regularly - adapt or move on

1b over 60 hours is about 16m per hour. Would you be interested in highsec mining as a way to boost your income perhaps?

They're pretty crappy as well. So many people are doing it now, everything has dropped in price a lot. Plus you cannot find them because everyone is doing them now that there is no NPC combat involved for the most part. I stopped exploration. Just wasn't worth it any more. Perhaps people will get bored of it, and prices will come back up.

A billion a month is nothing compared to what it used to be. Could make that in one day easily before they changed it.

making something on the order of 60-100M per hour is still realistic if you can chain a bunch of relic sites in low sec. honestly there's better ways to make money out of odyssey if you were paying attention.

To be honest it depends where you run relic sites. Sansha space like catch or stain is decent due to intact armor plates and power circuits (the most valuable stuff at the moment) and their T1 variants pay nice too. A can full with T1 amror plates+power circuits can still get you ~10 mil+. For example yesterday ive found a site and instantly got stuff worth off 200 mil.
The worst sites to do are probs sites where angel rats appear.

this, i made 7B the first two days playing 3-4h /day, wich include long trip to a hub. and that is just because we shared the wealth in my corp, so everybody can have a pieceof the cake, i would have been solo on this, would have been crazy

now that price settled, i can make 100-200M / hour, just pay attention Big smile

and i'm in lowsec, and i completely stopped running this "exploration" as they call it, the explo account was deactivated the week after odyssey hit

Misread the title as "scamming in Odyssey". Left disappointed.

Odyssey managed to successfully turn Exploration into the equivalent of shopping at K-Mart.

i think the stuff getting worthless cause its now so easy to scan , when the markets get flooded the price tend to drop

edit: i dont make much isk with data sites , but have a invention account and she can use those dycroptors.
