Wormhole crashing and teleportation

Hello everyone,

I was just rolling a wormhole, and when I made the final jump back into my system instead of appearing nearby the collapsed hole, I appaered directly on top of my ship maintenance array, inside my POS. Did anyone ever experienced it? Is it a bug and should it be reported somewhere ?

ive never heard of that happening WH side. when you close a K space Wh, and it closes behidn you as you jump into the k space, I often get dropped right near a station or gate. But i havent ever had it happen Wh side

Last month I closed a hisec connection in the static on my way in and I spawened in the static, but 2km off the home hole, saving me the warp time. Weird as hell.
My guess is that those are previously loaded grid and bob is lazy sometimes. ALL PRAISE BOB!

Bob Artis, you will be missed.

^^ This.

We've had an Orca shot out onto a lowsec gate (Bob is not merciful), and a legion dumped back in his own POS (.. but he is wise).

It's a thing. Welcome to W-space.

Was this in a C2 by any chance?

I was closing a D382 and my home was on the K162 side. SO yes, C2 on both sides.

Thanks for the answer guys, but I bet this could lead to some tears, orca being chased you wait for it on the other side of a hole, and surprise, he is safe in his POS!

Hey, this is caused by crushing wandering wormholes in a C2. I've seen the behavior most reliably reproduced crushing R943s (high-sec to C2). You will load into the system to the last place your ship was "boarded" which will usually be either an SMA or another hole you were trying to crush. I'm relatively certain you have to make 2 jumps for it to occur; I don't think it will happen if you crush an R943 on your way out.

We had that a few weeks ago.

We were waiting for an orca that we expected to return from highsec.

Fleet ready, all set up, scrams preheated ...scout reports orca at location...

...JUMP....
aaaaaaand.....

nothing.. wormhole dissapeared and in the same second the other scout who was looking at their POS reported that the orca just appeared in the forcefield.

This feature has been in place for at least 4 years.

mmmmkay... maybe I am missing your irony-tags here - but if you call that a feature, you must be truly enjoying those "ccpexefile.exe has crashed" messages and think "wow..what a convenient errormessage..<3 CPP"

i had this happen from a nullsec hole I derped and got trapped out of. Landed on gate in a BS. Coincidentally it was the gate with the fleet and the bubbles on, which was handy, because I jumped through immediately and escaped.

Most recent was a D382. But the Orca drop was a C2-Low. Legion made two jumps, orca, just the one.

I was in fact joking about it being a feature and implying it is a good thing to have. I'm not joking at all that this crash bug has been around for at least 4 years. I have had that exact thing with an Orca I was waiting to catch happen so many times.

I haven't personally experienced this feature/bug in awhile, but it is nice to see like everything else wormholes, this remains unaltered by CCP.

We have seen it multiple times, but it seems to happen more often than not when the hole is very Verge of Collapse and you shove a huge ship though it to collapse it (i.e a frigate might close it and you shove a BS or larger through) its just a theory we have but it has worked in our favor a few times

Happened to me in an Arazu yesterday. Jumped back into wh, hole collapsed and all of a sudden I was in my pos bouncing off of an sma.

Very strange.

I'm right behind you
