You are taking this way too seriously.

Calm down and think about whether or not any of this really matters.
When the time comes, the ones in the wrong will be punished and those doing right will continue to be restricted by rules but nonetheless happy?

This is Eve. Generally the wrong are not the ones that are punished. Usually the people who are punished are the trusting and the naive... like you for example.
