I read a few replies to this thread, namely "dessies suck because xyz" and "CCP fix broke game pl0x" and I have resolved that this thread is no longer being visited by those who understand PvP, and only those who EFT warrior or regurgitate false facts they read on EVE News 24.

Yah really. They do horrible DPS, have little to no projection, have no tank, and have horrible speed / compareable sig tank.

Cruisers are always the better option. Always. Unless you are inside a small FW plex. But even then, AF's are superior.

Destroyers suck, and if i see one on grid I pretty much ignore it. Unless i am in a lightly tanked frig. They are pointless unless you fly FW and really like going into small plexes only.

Just a free advice : you shouldn't ignore a destroyer on field, whatever your ship.

for such a 'flimsy' ship compared to crusiers they can put out some nasty numbers and a small gang with a dessy or two will be relying on those deeps. they are pretty easy to remove and you stop a decent % of a small gangs damage dealing ability.

No fix needed, it's already there.

If you are new to FW and lowsec, then just enter the novice plexes.

Algos can't go there, neither can T2 frigs, only T1 and factional frigs.

Solution without CCP intervention.

Once you're comfortable in the novice sites, then move up to larger ships and the other outpost and stronghold sizes.

i don't think there is a counter to the algos

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value
