Ok so before the haters start screaming WTF are you using 3 Titans for on EVE?

There are 2 reasons

I can afford it

and the wife has no idea what I spent!!!!

SO to the question, I am running x3 27in screens and on average have 3 -6 clients operating at any one time

Do I Bridge the 3 cards or have one driving each screen?, I also play warframe and will be playing Star Citizen when it launches.

Any advice greatly appreciated please put reasons so I can understand the logic behind your answers many thx.Lol

Well, my own experience with EVE, SLI and running more than three clients (normal settings) led to significant performance drops so I am curious myself what the best solution is.

Are you on 2560x1440? I was on 1920x1200 so I don't think resolution has anything to do with it.

Feel free to correct me, but wasn't the high-end 700 series better for gaming? While the titan was better for calculations?

You really need to take the last step and get a 4K monitor or 2.

If you almost always have more than 3 clients open at any given time, and you also usually keep each client on a completely separate screen anyway, there's absolutely no reason whatsoever to go SLI mode, so just have the cards each drive a separate monitor.

However, if you want some of the other games you play to span multiple monitors, you'd want to enable SLI mode.

P.S. Technically, it's called "3D surround" anyway (even if it;s still just an "evolved" form of SLI) when you use 3 monitors in a card-cooperative fashion, since properly-named original "SLI mode" only supports a maximum of 2 monitors while in SLI mode, but that's just nitpicking, I guess P

P.P.S. IF you want to use 3D surround mode with 3 "3D capable" displays (and one extra accessory display optionally), here are the limitations:
Quote:
GeForce GTX TITAN 3-way SLI With 3D Surround (Landscape) (Portrait orientation not supported)

> Orientation: Landscape
> Accessory Display: Yes, no additional GPU
> Maximum Resolution: 5760x1080
> Maximum Resolution (Bezel Correction): 7680x1080
> Maximum number of displays: 3 in Surround
1 Accessory Display

Special Instructions:
> 3D Vision Surround requires using three DVI or
three DisplayPort connectors.
> All monitors must be the same make and model for
3D Vision Surround.
> Using DisplayPort connectors may require the use
of DisplayPort to Dual-link DVI adapters. Please
consult your monitor's manual for supported
3D connectors.
> Center Display of the Surround group should be
connected to the card with most displays.
> Accessory Display must be connected to the card
with most number of displays.
> You can use any connector to enable the
Accessory Display.

If you have regular "2D" displays (3 for gaming, plus an optional one as accessory), there's fewer limitations:
Quote:
GeForce GTX TITAN 3-way SLI With 2D Surround (Portrait)
> Orientation: Portrait
> Accessory Display: Yes, no additional GPU
> Maximum Resolution: 4800x2560
> Maximum Resolution (Bezel Correction): 6400x2560
> Maximum number of displays: 3 in Surround
1 Accessory Display
Special Instructions:
> Center Display of the Surround group should be
connected to the card with most displays.
> Accessory Display must be connected to the card
with most number of displays.
> You can use any connector to enable the
Accessory Display.
...
or
...
GeForce GTX TITAN 3-way SLI With 2D Surround (Landscape)
> Orientation: Landscape
> Accessory Display: Yes, no additional GPU
> Maximum Resolution: 7600x1600
> Maximum Resolution (Bezel Correction): 8192x1600
> Maximum number of displays: 3 in Surround
1 Accessory Display
Special Instructions:
> Center Display of the Surround group should be
connected to the card with most displays.
> Accessory Display must be connected to the card
with most number of displays.
> You can use any connector to enable the
Accessory Display.
