Noctis if you are a mission runner and want to clean up the wrecks.

Strategic Cruiser of your choice fitted with the nullification subsystems if you want to do exploration out in 0.0 and not worry too much about getting ganked.

I'm surprised it's named only once but the ship you really want to have is an Orca.

If you are playing the game as it was intended, then the entire premise is moot. You will have no ship for much longer than you have the bullets you are using to shoot at everyone else.

Phantasm isn't actually that terrible for solo PVP. You just have to pick your fights carefully.
