With a new mirror coming...

Given that there's a mirror coming in the next two weeks, is there any chance of us getting faction/deadspace modules populated onto the market?

Some ship fits that are worthwhile testing (particularly with the new Marauder changes) really need faction modules in order to fit properly.

Ships are balanced using t2 modules.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

That might well be. The fact remains that many marauders aren't used that way.

So yes, I agree with OP.

And the is true on TQ, but for the purpose of Balance testing T2 has to be used, faction and DED stuff is more powerful if things are balanced using those they become severely underpowered when using T2 modules.

We have no plans to do this and I don't see that changing, sorry.

You can buy faction/deadspace modules just fine on Sisi.
They just won't be 100 ISK. They'll be for whatever prices they were on TQ at the time of the mirror, in the same stations they were on TQ at the time of the mirror..

Of course this also means that there's a limited supply, so you'll have to grab what you need before everybody else does.
The best you can hope for is that other people take what they need and no more, but that's probably pretty unrealistic to expect.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Hi,

For the new mirror is there a chance to keep all installation (pos, ships ...) that are in whormoles space?
Can you give a date in order to log off in cov ops ?

Thanks.

No and No

The mirror has probably already been taken a few days ago and all structures are removed automatically by the mirror script to prevent people from logging into SISI to scout out locations.

Who in a wormhole doesn't log off in a scanning ship? If you don't, now you have a good reason to start.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

With the new mirror coming out, if you have it now on TQ, you have it on SISI. Use your own faction/deadpsace mods or buy them from the market when the mirror happens.

There is that play ground fun factor though.... I was hunting for Faction, but just found Faction Ammo....

Agreed the server is for balance, but it's also fun to play with things you really can't afford on TQ.

+1 on the idea.

The reason behind CCP not seeding faction modules i believe is because last time they did this, seeding everything form mods to supers, all people flew were officer/faction ship and supers with fighters. CA's would be full with titans and supers, and even when they weren't, it was just chaos

Can we at least get proper buy orders so that we can sell those items we picked up for 100 isk, and thus be able to make the isk to buy ded/faction modules?

Every time they have done anything remotely similar to this, all ACTUAL testing ceases and the CA's fill up with rediculous fits you would never see happening. CCP is doing something they rarely do during testing, they are giving people 10-15 mil SP to get all your racial BS and marauder skills to level 5.... take that and help us test the content coming up.

instead of seeding faction/officer they should just increase the spawn rates for them on the test server by a little bit so that people that actually go out there looking for the mods and work hard at it will get them.... but then again...

As Greenseed insurance fraud is the easiest way to earn isk on sisi to buy player sold items.

That, and you can sometimes see expensive buy orders on the market (most likely left overs after a mirror, I guess). So you buy stuff for 100 ISK, sell it for 100 Million + ISK, rinse and repeat.

But the freighter idea is even better, I'll try it next time if I need money on the test server. P

yeah, but this works only the first few days, since after that all the deadspace / faction / officier that were up when the mirror was taken are already fullfilled, so you will still be able to make shittones of isk, but there will be no sell order anymore.

while i understand the reasons CCP is not seeding em, i also think it is non the less a mistake, because this prevent us actually testing those modules interactions.

while in normal time this is not that much a big deal, when it comes to testing an area of the game wich as recently be modified and see a wide use of them, like the marauders, they should be seeded.

this was even more true for the last updates, when they changed the attributes on many deadspace / factions reppers. yet they were not tested, hence having the risk to slip throught unseen issues.

from a dev pov, not seeding them, especially in such specific occasion, is a mistake and might lead to overlooking some issues

Well, I had no trouble getting the faction modules I wanted even though I joined the test server months after the last mirror, but I know there are reasons for it. Maybe the modules I wanted were just not in much demand?

On the other hand, there aren't that much people online on the test server, so the chance for faction modules you need getting bought up by others is not that high. I do recognize there could be a problem if a faction module is too obscure to even have orders on the normal Eve-market. Then of course the mirrored market won't have them, either.
