I don't know what you guys did today but, on my macbook pro retina the game doesn't start anymore.

The launcher starts, i login and the press play. The button changes to "launching" and after like 5 seconds back to play but nothing happens.
If i open the activity monitor i see the even online process running but nothing. it doesn't work.

What can i do?

From this past week's update the launch client is clearly broken.

Arrow50% of the time I launch Eve, it'll simply freeze the launch client before the account name & pw boxes become visible.

ArrowIt has also cleared my account names and no longer saves them.

ArrowActual launch time from clicking "play" to being able to select one of my characters has increased drastically. It took me well over 3 minutes earlier today.

Both of these occur for me

Now I have an issue on undocking I hit undock .. client freezes and stays frozen 9 times out of 10 - the only way to undock is to then force Quit application and relog .. which takes 2-3 minutes as the "entering game as .. " bar slowly creeps forward.

THen im in space at a random distance from the undock .. which would be fine if I didn't live in hostile nullsec

However - this only happens on SOME of the toons in the launcher -

I can launch the game but it hangs instantly in the hangar. I have to force restart. Tried relaunching several times to no avail.

Cannot play the game at all until this is resolved.

On a different note, please note that running a torrent client also crashes EVE. Never have a torrent client running when playing EVE on OSX.

Update edit:

It seems to have loaded ok after the latest OSX system update has been applied.

Hi - brand new player here. I was having the same problem as a lot of other people: "“EVE Online.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash."

I tried one last thing, and it worked. I dragged it to the trash to uninstall it entirely, and installed from scratch. This time, I made sure this setting:

System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General -> Allow applications downloaded from:

was set to "Anywhere" before installing the game. This seems to have cleared everything up - the game runs great. Previously, I had changed this setting after installing, and it made no difference for me. It seems that this setting needed to be changed at install time.

Hopefully, this will help someone else. FWIW, I'm running it on a MBP Retina, 15", with the base processor and 8GB of RAM. The fans certainly speed up, but otherwise, it runs great.

Righto, my 2 cents.

If I run two Eve Clients and I undock one of them that client freezes. I force quite, re-log to find my Char. in space.

This also happens when I attempt to dock. I go to dock, client freezes, force quite, re-log and I am in station.

I have no difficulty jumping form system to system.

Further, if I open an Eve client it crashes/freezes TS and Mumble.

So now I am having to force quite and get booted off Mumble/TS every time I re-log. Awesome!

I have deleted and re-downloaded Eve client etc.

Help me CCP, you're my only hope.

Mac Client FAIL.

Launcher seemed to update. WHen I hit PLAY button it started the client, but it hung "not responding". Restarted the launcher and hit the PLAY button again. Doesn't even start the client.

C'mon CCP. Don't you do any testing of your software. What a bunch of amateurs!!

OK, I restarted my Mac and everything started. Maybe CCP should tell users they need to restart their system after the upgrade?
