My laptop should be capable of doing two things. Working well in school, and working well running Eve-Online.
When my ship just floats in POS, with a stable camera (not moving the camera nor the ship), the FPS is running about 20 - 25 FPS. Ofc this shouldn't be a problem (as people say that the human eye cannot see more than 30FPS (Let's not argue about this)). The problem is, when I go, lets say, run a mission (level one mission for example), imagine the drop of the frame-rate if it's stable at 20 when idle. Let alone if I'd be pvp'er. It tends to drop down to 15fps when I just move the camera around the POS.
Ah, and before I go further I should give out the settings:
Fixed window
1280x800
90%GUI Scaling
Interval one
all effects unchecked
miscellaneous all unchecked
low quality characters cheacked
texture quality: low

anti-aliasing: disabled
post processing: none
shader quality: low
texture quality: low
LOD quality: low
shadow quality: disabled
interior effects: low
interior shader quality: low

Now, If I'll be buying a new lappy, it will be running Win8 64bit. The company I buy from doesn't sell win7 anymore. They told me Microsoft is about to stop supporting win7. If that's the case, I could aswell just go find myself a decent Linux system.

the system is virus-free (running avast), all drivers updated, all software are updated and fact tells me this lappy is outdated.

Basic System info:

Packard Bell
RAM: 4GB
system type: 64bit Win7
Processor: Dual-core Pentium T4300 2.10GHz
Screen-card: If I only knew what the heck this card is called.
VRAM: I'm mising the screen-card name
GPU: Same as abow

For details, look up my model: MH36-U-174NL

Now, for what I want:
I want a lappy that can run EveO in medium (not full) quality with 60FPS stable when doing a mission.
So basically, if anyone could be so kind and play eve online in medium quality, run a whatever mission that has at least a decent number of npc's (for example: Pirate Intrusion: ( http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=PirateIntrusion2gu ), and if you can run it without lagging and with 60FPS stable (meaning it can drop down every now and than, but always tends to jump back to 60), than plz do give me a spec of your lappy (a model name or/and a direct website for the laptop information from any website on English (for example my laptop: http://www.screentekinc.com/Packard_Bell_EasyNote_MH_Series_MH36-U-174NL--15.4-inch--1280x800-wxga-laptop-lcd-screen.shtml would be greatly appreciated ).

PS. Do not tell me the name of my screen-card. I don't think I want to know :Þ

Please, and thank you

MS is dropping support for WIN XP next April. WIN 7 x64 will be around and supported for a long time and is what I would suggest unless you really feel you need 8. The company you buy from are either idiots or perhaps you misunderstood them.

I have a Lenovo T530 with the 1600x900 display with nVidia GPU option and love it. The i5 CPU version runs EVE great if you don't want to pay the gold price for the i7. Nice thing about these is you can customize them however you want when you order, and they are end-user upgradable.

There's a million angry citizens looking down their tubes..at me.

dont use a laptop get a desktop, much better, for games like eve, a decent desktop will run you about 1200.00 a gameing laptop for eve will run you about 2400.

http://www.gamingpc.ca/custom-desktops/ i bought my gameing desktop from these guys, and it was worth every penny, no problems running eve at all. i can run a max of 14 clients easy.

Gaming laptops, I'm personally a fan of the ASUS Republic of Gamers series.

This beast is my current machine. Heavy as all hell, but good for EVE.

7.2 CAN I AVOID PVP COMPLETELY? No; there are no systems or locations in New Eden where PvP may be completely avoided. --Eve New Player Guide

What I really want though, is to play eve when not at home. I already have a monster desktop, capable of running one primary eve-client and up to 4 with lover texture quality. Could boost it up for I have an old screen-card on it(the only thing I didn't upgrade last time).
It takes me 2 hours to go to school. That is huge time compared to my little island. My classmates take about 20min max to go to school by taking a bus. For me, this is 4-5 hours a waste of time. So my plan was to rent a house to stay in every now and than. I'm not gonna travel with my monster desktop (double the size of a normal box), just now and than. Let alone my 32 inch TV screen that it is attached to.

Anyways. Thanks for all the answers. I've got what I needed now, so thanks allot :Þ

Not to blaspheme on all these fine pc users, but I use a pc gaming rig at home, and have a 13 inch macbook pro that runs eve fantastically well. And with an educational discount, it only ended up at about a grand. I think they're more expensive now, but still not too bad

Not everyone likes macs, and its awful for dual-boxing, but the computer is 4 years old now and still runs eve at max settings without any trouble at all. And its the longest lasting laptop I've owned thus far, so I can't really complain.
