I would suggest you take the ten hours a month you spend grinding isk for plex and use it to get an education. Then with that education get a job that has nothing to do with minimum wage to determine your salary. Then come back a play using cash that took you, for example, eight minutes RL time to earn.
You are assuming all hours of the day can be used to earn income, which is simply not the case for the vast majority of society. Most people work 9-5, come home, and have no means to earn more money until the following day.

Not to pick on you, as this sort of tainted logic was touted by half a dozen people in this thread so far.

Why does everyone also seem to only do one account.

if you have a large well scaled system of accounts, paying for 5 accounts in the same time as paying for one in-game ....

Imagine if that guy with the 30 accounts decided it was faster to pay for them in cash ...

That is a choice not a fate. For instance, instead of grinding away "free time" for play money, someone could use their "free time" to work a second job or start a side business. The additional hours would likely earn the person more money per hour than the equivalent within game. It's fun to show people how much opportunity cost there is in "grinding" in the game, but the truth is that some people find some sort of joy from all this video game working. Either that or they would rather "earn" pennies per hour on their own terms than having a boss tell them what to do, when to show up, take a shower, put pants on etc. They may also give up their free government handouts.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

Actually what i said was spend eight minutes a day earning income. Spend the other 23 hours and 52 minutes how ever you see fit. Edit: Plus 29 days in a 30 day month.

I use real money, and you're talking to me.

I couldn't be arsed grinding in an online game for what amounts to two cups of Starbucks a month.

fair enough, no one actually wants to discuss this :-)

also I wouldn't call 10 hours over a month grinding?

I can pay for EVE for a year with 10 hours of "grinding" at work.

seriously though, its a serious question - ccp would lose there income stream?

abdeil im talking hypothetically

what do you think?

I actually think if everyone used PLEX CCP would have a much more increased cash flow, PLEX for me to buy is 16.99 which equates to what 600 mill in jita or 30 days of game time,

Now personally I pay for a year and it costs me something like 8 per month, so nearly half the price of plex.

every plex that is in the game is paid for unless you are from Somer Shocked

I totaly agree. tbh if you cant afford to pay the 10 pounds a month for account then you really need to stop playing games and reavaluate what is important in your life
I look at it this way. takes x amount of time to farm mine wh plex what ever to make 600m isk to get a 30day plex. say 2-3hours in 2-3hours of Work in real life i can make enuff to buy 3-4 plex i know what i would rather do... then i enjoyed 2-3 hours of game play doing somthing fun now going o no i need to do this or i cant play next month

This. I used to pay with cc when I only had one account.
At 5 accounts, I switched to plex payments. I don't think some people on here have realized that EvE pve gets much faster/easier with more accounts. 1 plex per hour of actual playtime is possible with 5 accounts albeit stressful.

THIS! Thank you!! Some of us have lives (full-time job, wife, grad school), and even if I didn't, I have too much fun messing around the low-ISK activities to want to have to grind my way up to something that costs very little $$$.

Perhaps CCP should implement what I'll call the Mcdonalds Theory. Create a new mini PLEX that any worker at Mcdonalds can afford to buy with one hour's wage. For $8, this mini PLEX could grant the bearer 7 days of game time. There are countless numbers of people who will pay a very high unit price (in this case $ per day of game time) to be able to conveniently buy small chunks of game time.
