I got off early today from work and logged on to see what wa happening. As Usual Pleniers was about to head out. Doc had found a WH in K-Q and he wanted to go exploring. Pleniers loves armor cruisers so that's what we went in. We had 2 band new corpies in fleet and this was their first chance to PVP with us. Pleniers was scouting and got lucky and found a tengu that didn't like Pleniers warping into his warp disruption bubble. Well Plen got tackle called us in and we clapped the tengu. The loot was decent so we hopped back through the WH and dropped it off at home.

See, Syg, new paragraph!!

We decided to head back out thru the WH, stillin our T1 armor ships. 3 vexors, rupture, my arbi and and exequor for reps. We flew around looking for a decent fight when we noticed this tengu following us and just daring us to agress. Now we were thinking what any person seeing this would think "HOT DROP O'CLOCK". After he followed us for a few jumps we said what the hell and made his day, aggressing him. Sure enough the cyno went up. We kept our cool and waited for the bad guys to appear. 2 Panthers and a Widow jumped thru. The Widow was called primary and the Panthers were tracking disrupted. We killed the Widow and then focused on the Panthers melting them. We then finished off the tengu.

The bad guys musthavebeen in shock. They hot drop us in their faction fit Black Ops BS's and get melted by the T1 cruisers they thought to destroy. The 2 new pilots in our corp performed like pro's, following the FCs orders and not panicking when the balloon went up. Also, not a bad first day in a new corp.

I realized that last couple month I only posted 2 episodes. I try to make my personal objective to post one every 15 days, so I'm gonna speed up a bit next couple episodes.

or

http://curses-im-in-my-pod.blogspot.pt/2013/09/curses-episode-13.html

You're getting rid of my voice this one time. This time the episode is brought to you by Doc, one of my Corp mates. He chose to comment fleet fights
- A4D vs S2N and Pets
- A4D Assault frigs vs Darkspawn
- A4D vs T3 Gang
- A4D being Black Ops Hotdroped

Another style, another way to look at battles, hope you enjoy nevertheless.

Thanks for picking up our slack Bren. The truth of the matter is I have been depressed. As you know; Test, of Sound Mind, and Razor have all moved into the area. These are alliances and corps that dwarf us. They have fleets that have more members than we have active players in a month. I can't imagine we have long to go before their sheer bulk destroys us. We still have only 75 or 80 on our roster and we reset one of our blues to neutral a couple of weeks ago, which means we have precious few allies.

I guess there are a few bright spots I should hang onto though. Somehow we have managed to rise a few points on the battle clinic killboard hitting 65 at the time I am writing this. I guess that's something.
http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/c ... estruction

Somehow we managed to hold onto the highest ranking killers in Curse...I guess that's an accomplishment.
http://www.eve-census.com/region/Curse

And I guess I should take some consolation in the fact that we are still in the top 6 killer corps in ALL OF NULL SEC!!!
http://www.eve-census.com/area/nullsec

Then there is the fact that we have over 1500 kills this month and are running over 87% efficiency at this moment.

Hey...wait a minute, it seems were still kicking ass!!!

Ok, I am feeling better now! Here is a killmail from the other night. It is very misleading because only ships that either die, or manage to kill us show up in their fleet. Take my word for it, there were tons more in their "lets overwhelm them" parade. Unfortunately the parade was called on the count of explosions.

http://a4d.c3dev.net/killboard/?a=kill_ ... l_id=61216

Small gang NPC null. No alliance few blues. Come see us if you find hiding in the crowd is not your style.

PS. I got to hand it to the Razor gang. Two of them congratulated us on a perfectly executed bombing run. I suspect it was two who lived :)

I tend to only do combat write ups when I was actually a participant in a gang; thus since I haven’t been playing that much, my updates have become more and more infrequent. Although I do plan on blogging more this winter, I have been busy with life as well as other A4D projects.

Starting this October, we will be creating A4D videos with a format specifically designed so you can see firsthand what we do and how we do it. In the coming months you will see engagements as we see engagements, you will hear coms as we hear coms, you will live the full A4D experience.

Time to kill.

My lazy butt has somehow racked up 40 kills this month….a good day by most of my corp mates standards. Being lazy as hell, I still have the ability to form a fleet on short notice and engage enemy fleets. It started when my buddy Sethvir said “6 man cruiser fleet on the CL-85V gate”. We only had 4-5 active but we thought we would give it a try.

The opposing gang had 2 Vexors, 2 Celestis, 2 Thorax and a Malediction. We had 3 Vexors, 1 Exequror, 1 Deimos (Sethvir’s ship he just happened to be in). We were going to take the fight in K-Q but most of them had aggressed on Sethvir on the CL side. He jumped in and a couple followed. We went after the Vexor first then the Celestis, followed by a second Celestis and the Thorax.

The single Exequror couldn’t repair the DPS that the enemy fleet’s damage and we basically lost the isk war by losing the Deimos. It happens.

Well I lost out again last night. This isn't unusual since I will play scout for our K-Q ops and watch Addams Family on You Tube. Well, this time I wasn't watching the Tube but refitting ships. We kept trying to go on a 5 man cruiser roam but kept getting interrupted by fleet coming into k-Q.

While fitting up a ship for the roam, I observed 3 Kadeshi in RMOC. 2 tengu sand a rapier. Well our FCs realized immediately that this was a small bait fleet for the Kadeshi. We hoped they would move thru and be on their way, but they decided they liked K-Q. Our FC was in a dictor and bubbled up the Rapier even though he knew the cyno would go up. The Rapier aggressed and the tengus warped back to gate and the cyno went up. They actually dropped a lone dictor. WOW!!

What they did not realize was that we were waiting for this and as the ships loaded grid in the bubble it was "Bombs Away". While we didn't get a lot of kills on this bomb run we did get a nice pretty cyno/faction fit Rapier and a blackbird for good measure. They did get our hero dictor and a bomber pilot who was having computer lag, but that was a fair trade in our eyes.

Gotta thank all the Alliances that are moving to Curse to improve their pvp skills. They are also helping us to get better at different skills also.

Curse has become Blob and Hot Drop central. What used to be a house of small gang pvp has changed over the last month as Test, Razor and now the Goons move in. They have brought PL, BL, Nulli and others with them with their cyno cyclones and drakes, their 50 man Gilla and Prophecy fleets and even 30 man AF fleets. You think that would scare the smaller alliances and corps that have called Curse their home, but it hasn't.

We still go out. We still kill these invaders. It's October 5th and our small 90 man corp has already racked up over 230 kills. Our tactics have changed some to deal with the new environment. Bombers have become a larger part of our doctrine. Hunting the fat boys of these fleets our specialty. We still roam Curse, jumping into the systems where these large alliances now call home as we look for kills. Scalding Pass, Wicked Creek, Catch and the other nearby areas are still our hunting grounds. If we find a WH, we will go even further, but curse is still our main hunting grounds.

The new Curse is the new, Honey Hole, as Sygma would say. We have only 2 blues the rest of Eve is a target waiting for the right time for us to pull the trigger on it. If you want to kill stuff, join the A4D Bar and talk to us about joining. Check out Pleniers video blog, Curses, on you tube. We do small gang PVP in he age of the Blob and

Wormhole to Detroid
Pleniers scanned down a wormhole in our home system yesterday; it went to a pocket in Detroid that belongs to Bab5. When we entered we found a fairly sizable fleet formed up to defend against a vastly smaller fleet.
Enemy Fleet 1: 3 T1 Cruisers, 2 Tackle
Enemy Fleet 2: 2 Loki, 2 Proteus, Hurricane, Arazu, Heavy Interdictor

We knew we had only 3 guys with 4 total toons. We had 1 Augoror, 2 Vexors, 1 Thorax. We spent some time to see if we could isolate either gang…with the hope of killing a T3 ship or two. But fleet 1 left a.s.a.p. and fleet two went back to their home system next door.

We spent about a half hour trying to get them to form back and finally they did. We knew that we couldn’t engage in the other system as it was a 65AU warp to that gate, and no tackler would survive that long, our only hope was to drag them over to another gate where we would have a shorter warp.

Eventually they formed up again, they were using a Tempest Fleet as bait, a Machariel, 2 Proteus plus other random crap. Although we tried in vain to pull them off the gate…they wouldn’t budge. Probably smart on their part…by the time they formed up, our fleet had grown from 4 to 24. We probably could have ganked a single, but we were looking to kill them all. Sucks to be us I guess.

2 hours of my life I will never get back.

Although my playing time has been limited over the last two months, I am happy with the volume of kills I get per hours played. To qualify for the loot prize at the end of the month an A4D member must have more kills than there are days in the month and be in the A4D top 50% of ISK killed. Which means a guy that kills 100 shuttles doesn’t have the isk value of a guy that kills one Carrier.

In A4D we solve a bunch of the looting issues that many corps have by everyone putting the loot into the loot hangar. At the end of the month A4D buys all the loot from the corp and pays it all back out to members. If any member is in a gang of 3 or less, then those members may keep 100% of the loot for themselves. This rewards those for being proactive, and finding targets.

So basically there are 3 or so ways of getting paid.
1) Kill lots of ships.
2) Kill ships with high isk value.
3) Be in a gang less than 4

Lets use two examples: Sygma and Master Andrew.

Andrew prefers to get his kills within 2 jumps and why not? Andrews time table and playing style allows him to slaughter everything for hours and hours at a time. He kills tons solo, most of the ships are small but not all, and he gets some very nice kills. Master Andrew has 164 in 10 days. Very impressive.

Conversely, I only have 38 kills this month but my kills have higher isk value. I prefer going out of Curse to get my kills. I have lived in Curse since 2006 and I really don’t ever want to sit on a gate again. Due to Awoxing with some friends, we managed to get two carrier kills, a Rattlesnake, Navy Raven and two Machariels last night (Not typical).

The moral of the story is that it doesn’t matter how you get your kill mail in A4D as long as you GET THE KILL.

We are Appetite 4 Destruction and all others are a statistic

The greatest thing about living on a pipe is the endless amount of targets that come by. A few of us decided to sit on a gate and get a few cheap kills before work, school, or whatever. Sekibun, Decster and I sat on the gate with a Sabre and two Daredevils. We managed to kill a Hawk, nearly missed a de-cloak on a Helios. Although we didn’t have much time…we were making the best of what time we did have.

We saw a single Drake coming from CL-85 gate, I remember saying that “I don’t think we can break a Drakes tank”, Decster said…we can do it! Damn optimists. I said ok, but I think we don’t have the DPS. Sekibun, warped to the station to swap ships as Decster bubbled the gate. The Drake de-cloaks and now goes after Decster’s Sabre.

Decster’s Sabre started to take heavy damage but Decster managed to get out of range and warps to station to get something bigger. Now I am stuck soloing the Drake in my Daredevil. Damn it. I realized three things 1) Decster’s optimism is going to get my Daredevil popped. 2) Heavy Assault Missiles could not hurt an AB fit Daredevil. 3) Decster warped to the wrong gate leaving me there MUCH longer than necessary. : P

Lucky for me Sekibun came in and added DPS with Decster arriving shortly thereafter. Either way the Drake died with zero losses. An hour or two later, Adah said, “Sygma, you active”? I said of course, he said I have a Deimos tackled on the RMOC gate. Knowing I had max shield bonuses in local, I jumped in my Dual ASB Cyclone and warped to the gate.

While coming out of warp, Adah said…my slicer went down. I land, point the Deimos and then realize that I am NOT in my dual ASB Cyclone, but in a nano’d out heavy missile Cyclone. Oops. Now I definitely knew that I was in trouble as I knew I neither had the tank or DPS to kill the Deimos by myself. The one thing I could do is outrun the Deimos, So I went into an orbit outside of his web range and started spamming missiles.

As the Deimos tried his best to get in web range I overheated my MWD keeping him at bay. I managed to hold him just long enough for backup to arrive, ending the Deimos in seconds. Talos + Cyclone + Tornado > Deimos. They weren’t even fights, but they were fun, and they were both fights that we COULD have lost ships but didn’t.

Typically I don’t care to blog about fights we should win, but I will make an exception.

"I love it when a plan comes together!" That quote might be a bit old for some of you but that was a saying by the fictional John Hannibal Smith, of the A team.

We travel across the galaxy regularly roaming into "SOV" space getting our kills and moving along. It always amazes me that a system with 40 people in it will allow our 4 or 5 man gangs to come in and kill them. Sometimes they mount a defense, but often they just stay docked till we leave. We do not feel that way. If you come into our system it is an affront, and most times we will try to figure a way to kill you. Last night a fleet of about 40 t3s came into our system. What did we do..well nothing were aggressive but not crazy. We had 7 men on and not much warning. But our intel network, which is Art of War, told us a 20 man slasher/thrasher gang was headed our way.

With 7 men we could have gotten into BC's with some logi and probably done just fine, except they would not likely fight us. If we got into cruisers with logi, there would be a good chance they could take out our logi before we removed enough of them. So we decided on a bombing run.

We put a cloaky sabre on the gate. Their scout got there and would not leave. So when we hear they are aligning our sabre pops the bubble then jumps through the gate. We really thought they would abort their warp, but for whatever reason they came. Our fleet commander calls for align even before they land on the gate, then bomb, then in perfect harmony the bombs and their fleet landed simultaneously.

Please review the quote in the first sentence, then look at this.

(you may have to cut and paste this link separately into your browser)
6 bombers 25 dead counting pods.

Most of us show up in two ships so it inflates the size of our fleet but, but what happened is they had so few members left in fleet they decided to deathclone home and for some reason chose not to self destruct but instead ask us to pod them. We happily provide that service. It was truly a magical run and they appreciated it with many of them making congratulatory statements in local. One of them acknowledged he got out in 1% structure.

So remember if you come into our system or if we come into yours. Were probably going to try to kill you. Nothing personal, its just what we do.

Small gang, NPC space, Small Corp. Mostly BC's and down, no caps. No CTA. We do have fairly stiff entrance requirements. 20 Million combat oriented skillpoints. Your going to have to have at least a few hundred kills. No drama, and no kids. If your interested come to A4D bar. Say hi, and ask for Sygma or Caloon if you want to go further.

General Principles of the A4D universe

* If it is a solo battleship…chances are it has a Cyno fitted. (Don’t go into the light)
* If it is a Drake…. check the history, if it is younger than a year kill it, otherwise it has a Cyno fitted.
* If a solo Arazu attacks you…chances are you are about to be Blopsed or bridged upon.
* If it is a solo Stiletto…chances are you are about to get attacked by 80.

Sometimes you just have to know what ships can do what, and what ships can’t do what. You can go a long way by not getting tackled by a Stiletto or Arazu as these particular ships can’t kill anything by themselves. You can also go a long way by always having a falcon when a solo battleship roles through. At least that way you can jam off any points and get call for a GTFO.

Unfortunately that is just the game mechanics, and if you don’t know these things you will probably die horribly. Curse is not a very forgiving place, in fact it is brutal, that is why most blobs always go around in groups of 50. Appeasing the masses is what pays the bills for CCP, ignoring the little guy down in lieu of placating the “Alliance”. Some think that gangs of 50 are true PVP (news flash, killing 3 frigates with 50 guys is NOT PVP).

A4D’s way is simple: Kill Everyone, Destroy Everything.

P.S. Have you seen our new youtube channel???

The other night we were getting ready to go on a nano shield cruiser roam. Caracals were the flavor if choice when a lone tengu agresses one of us on station hardly doing any damage! Well as Sygma pointed out above, you have to know the ships and know what to expect. This screamed BLOPS!! Even so we decided to agress from range to see what pops thru. Sure enough cyno goes up and a Sin, redeemer, falcon arazu and approximately 7 bombers jump thru. We were prepared and everyone made it out and we reshipped to armor. The Sin warped to the sun at 100 and one of our pilots followed right on his heels catching him as they landed. The rest of the fleet landed moments later. The Sin pilot must have been screaming for help but gave the wrong range as his fellows landed at 0 from the sun over 100 km away. They realized they could do nothing and warped out leaving the Sin to die to our fire. The rest fled the system. You have to expect hot drops in Curse, sometimes we engage and whelp while other times like this one we score big!

I have enjoyed the time I have spent in A4D, I couldn't ask for better corp mates. We expect a lot from our pilots, but it pays off with good pvp fun. If you are interested in small gang pvp with good people, join the A4D bar and chat us up. You may find a new home in EVE!

Wow!!! I was just looking at Eve Census and in all of Null Sec, we have the 3rd highest amount of kills in the last Quarter. We are 1st for the last Month in Null Sec. This is pretty good for a 100 man corp whose main thing is small gang PVP. We are not affiliated with any big Null Sec blocks or Alliances. We just Kill Stuff!!!

These last few months have been interesting in Curse where we live. All the big alliances are in Curse trying to learn how to pvp. We are teaching them by killing them in bunches!!

We don't hold sov, we don't fly caps (we do kill em tho). If you want to have fun and do small gang PVP, come check us out in the A4D Bar. Say Hi!!

Hello there peoples, I have not been posting lately, been a little busy IRL.

Each EVE online corporation has a niche, some are miners, some feel the need to conquer space and others like to build. Although A4D is no different, we define ourselves as a sub-capital only pvp corp. We only have one purpose…DESTROY EVERYTHING. The means is inconsequential; we don’t care how you kill them, as long as you do.

We roam, we camp, we jump in wormholes, we gank, we hunt, we do whatever it takes to kill. Although our typical fleets are between 5-15 we pride ourselves on our ability to do more with less, we aren’t fancy we are effective. Over the past month or so we decided to showcase our skills and put them on video. Although it is far from a finished product, we would like to introduce our first two videos with hopefully many more to come.

Detesting all things alliance is pretty much our shtick. That is the glory of A4D; we don’t adhere to anyone else’s agenda but our own. We are a group of sociopathic killers that disdain all things alliance and everything they stand for. Cap fights, TIDI, 37 Ishtars, Sov Space…please. Pathetic. Fighting over the concept of owning a piece of space is revolting to most A4D members.

So, what DO we stand for? That is easy, we strive to kill everyone regardless of affiliation. In fact, in general, we cannot tell you who is aligned with whom. We don’t know, because we don’t care. A4D only cares about the destruction of everyone, in a nutshell, that is what we do. So if you would like to get off the Titan and stop being a lackey for some trillionaire…look us up.
