Cannot launch game at all.

After installing Eve Online first time on my mac, the game did not launch at all. Whenever tried open it, error ""EVE Online" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to Trash."
After getting this error I did complete uninstall and reinstall but the same error still stands.
I also found article in eve wiki with possible solution which advised to do the same and also delete Eve online preferences from "/Users/username/Library/Application support/" but there is no "Eve online" folder there to delete, probably because I couldn't even log in for the first time.

My mac runs on os x 10.8.3
Did anyone else face this problem before? Any help will be highly appreciated, thanks!

I've experienced the exactly same problem and nothing helped - reinstalling, clearing cache and downloading client again - system kept saying the file is corrupt and should go to trash.
I solved it by launching the game not from the applications but going to the game folder via Finder. There you go to Applications-Eve, then you right click and do "show the package contents", then you go to contents, resources and from there you launch the file.
Even after granting proxy to trust this file, it doesn't launch for me the "normal way", I always run it from Finder.
Hope it helps, i suffered a long way to get to this.

I have the same problem, but when I tried to log in today it said there was a patch and it asked me to update. After it pulled down the update it said:

"the update has been downloaded. The client will now close and the update process begin. Press Ok to continue."

Now I can no longer launch EvE at all.

I launch it the normal way without getting the message "EVE Online is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

I can't launch it the other way by right clicking on the Eve Icon and selecting Show Package Content and selecting Content/Resources Folder and clicking the Eve Online Icon without it closing down after the Launch screen comes up.

Can anyone offer any suggestions.

This is exactly where I am. The problem is that the launcher window won't load.
