Copies of a Tech II BPO

What happens when you make a copy of a Tech 2 BPO?
Will it be a tech 2 copy with the same ME & PE as the Tech 2 BPO or what?

Yes.

But it takes longer to make a one-run copy than to manufacture one TII widget, so nobody does it.

If you see copies of a T2 BPO (and I do see them on contract from time to time), ask yourself why the owner of that BPO is making copies rather than making the item.

It could be because the item doesn't sell or doesn't sell profitably. If it did sell well, they'd be making the item and selling it, not wasting their time making copies.

Yes, a copy of a T2 BPO will have the same ME & PE of the original, up to the max number of licensed runs allowable by that BPO.

It's a mild pita to make copies in the first place since they require R.dBs. Chances are good that if someone is putting in the time to manufacture those just to make copies the item is awful.

They can make copies when the item is not profitable, then sell the BPC / build from it when there's some profits to be made. Like all those t2 ships that were never profitable to make until the rebalance (eos, cerberus, eagle, etc).

There are people that collect t2 bpo copies too, so there might be (very niche) market for that.
