The Socket was Closed

As soon as the Rubicon patch went live on singularity, the client wont start. It just shows "Authenticating" for a while and then goes to "Connection Failed: The socket was closed". I have tried repairing and re-patching. I have even deleted the whole install folder and downloaded and patched a fresh copy of the client. None of this worked.

Any suggestions? Is anyone having the same problem?

UPDATE: I can see the server status in the launcher, it says how many players are online, but as soon as I try to connect, the game says "Status: Unknown" and comes up with the same "The socket was closed" error.
I am curious if anybody is having the same problem or if anyone has any ideas of things I might try.

Only thing I can think of is that it may be a firewall (either on your router or on the actual PC). Maybe the ports are closed in the router as well?

I assume you haven't had any issues before Rubi / No issue on TQ?

No issues on TQ, and SiSi was working fine before the patch. Nothing has changed apart from the patch.

In that case I have no idea sorry, the only things I can really think of would be the .exe being blocked by a firewall or something but it seems unlikely :/
