NPC Jump Clone Standings Requirement Change Proposal

Just my opinion, but wouldn't Jump Clones work better in NPC stations (hisec & losec) if the standings requirement was lower? say, positive 1.0 or 2.0 with the NPC corp that manages the station?

A balance to that could be a higher price tag starting at 20 mil ISK per JC installation and reduced to ~1-2 mil ISK at 10.0 standings.

I second this. Right now its damn annoying u can only instal jump clones if u have 8.0 standings..its v hard or rather alot of work to get standings that high.. and most player run corps don.t have standings high enough aswell.

Sure u can join estel arador but having to do that every now and then isnt so good,if u pvp even abit u will lose some clones.

Just because i am blond does not make me stoopid !

Exactly this and all those Player Corps that have worked for it would be devalued. You want a JC then work and enhance your reputation with that NPC Corp to get the standings.

you're missing my point. what I'm saying is that it requires way too much work.

I think you need to brush up on winning and losing an argument, esp as you proved my point.

There are very easy ways to get JC's , easier than estel arador, also it is not as hard as people make out to grind standings if you use a bit of thought about which corps you grind up.

Its ok as it is. Getting a jump clone in this game is not hard at all. Either get yourself a friend/alt with rorqual or spend few hours on missions, no big deal.

Then you obviously don't want that jump clone as you clearly don't want to put effort in to get them. Stop being so damn lazy and feeling all entitled to them. Everything in this game is there for the taking but Jump Clones are one of the few things that requires you to actually go and work for it and it should stay that way.

Want to be able to jump around into different clones then go and put some damn effort in.

Jump Clones should be removed from the game.
Just make implants un-pluggable after a certain cool-down once you plug them in, say 20 hrs.

Jump Clones make Eve seem really small tbh. Instant travel is always bad.

It's already been said that you would be devaluing the corporations that have the standings to install the JCs, however it would also devalue the Rorqual itself as well.

If you don't wish to grind to 8.0 corporation standings (Keep in mind it's hard to lose corporate standings), then either...

1. Farm up 2.5 bil isk and purchase a rorqual
2. Make friends with someone that already has a rorqual, and pay him 20 mil isk every time you install a JC

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.

ways to get jump clones

join a JC corp for free jump clone installation rights at NPC places
join a nullsec corp that owns or has docking rights at a player owned station
do some missions to get a derived standing of 8.0 towards an NPC corp

Option 3 doesn't take very long, and its reasonably achievable doing level 3 missions in a modestly skilled battle cruiser. Also its derived standings, so connections is also counted. Finally, if you do choose option 3, you basically will have access to jumpclones from that corp forever, and if you choose a different option you can still keep those clones forever basically.

Finally, for your typical empire-dweller, jumpclones are a convenience, not a necessity. If you get to the point that they're a necessity, then you're probably also at the point where doing a few missions is trivially easy. Considering that JCs are more or less permanent, I don't see a problem in having a modest standings grind for them, especially when no-grind options are available to everyone.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Not if you are smart, can get to +8 in a very short time if pick the right corp to work for.

Little hint: Stations in Providence are generally set to allow anyone to dock and use services as long as you're not -10 to the owning corp.

So go there and make as many jump clones as your Info Morph skill allows by flying from station to station. Set your medical clone to some place back in empire or where ever your home is, and spend the next few days JC'ing to your new clones in those Provi stations and deathcloning back home. Repeat until you've moved your clones to where you want them.

You don't need to join estel, you don't need to go hunt down a friend with a Rorq. You can do this yourself with very little hassle. If your current single clone has expensive implants, use a cloaky/nullified T3 to get around Providence to make your clones, or even come Rubicon, an inty.

It ain't hard.
