You don't need 170M SP to have all Fittings skills V, not at all. And then, it's still good to have this extra bonuses to powergrid / CPU / Capacitor...

I don't understand you're point, can you explain ?

I don't have any fitting difficulties with any setup that would justify the need to require that extra power grid / CPU / Capacitor in the first place?.....Though i can see it's use for newer players to make particular setups work since they might be a little short in one area or another.


Same goes for the atribute boost (+3), as i'm using +5's with this toon for tthe last several years straight, so these new implants are of no use there either for me, so unless i'm misunderstanding something here, i got no use for these anyhow....

Most armor logi loadouts seem to need at least 1 ACR to even be able to fit for their bonuses.

That said, I always plan my loadouts to function assuming no implants. I probably won't be using these new implants myself unless that 50% bonus applies to attributes as well (i.e. they are 4.5 implants.)

Folks, all other gifts have been redeemable for some time after patch day. Unless someone has magic evidence otherwise there's no reason to think this one is different.

Hey, wanted to pool all the questions together, including a couple I got through EVEMail. Here's what we've got...



Pelador Rova: What qualifies as an active subscription though, if I've plexed for an extended term into next year could I qualify, or does it mean a subscription package?

Anyone with an active, paid account in our system on the 29th will receive the item. The little gremlins inside our server just look for the paid flags on each account and they don't question how they got there. PLEX, PayPal, Credit Card, ETC, a crate of live chickens... our server gremlins don't judge.


Jowen Datloran: Hm, so I actually have to log in on the 29th to get the implant? Interesting.

Two things I learned from my early years of MMO gaming and they stick with me even now:

1. "Trust me" is just another way of saying "stop stalling and let's get this murder over with"


2. "Never play on patch day" is a golden rule.

Maybe one or both have changed over the years, but I like to err on the side of caution. No need to login in on patch day. As long as it's an active, paid account, you're all set.



Shadow Lord77: Do these implants last forever or do they get automatically destroyed after a set amount of time?

They function the same as existing implants. Get podded and they're gone.



Shadow Lord77: Does that 50% apply to the other attribute implants or just bonus-effect implants?

The 50% bonus applies only to the two implants of the set.

The CA-1 goes in Slot 1. The CA-2 goes in Slot 4.



Shadow Lord77: When is the CA-2 one planned to be gifted?

We have not yet released the date that the CA-2 will be distributed but I am quite sure it will be the day after I get podded and lose my CA-1.



mkint: Ok, question nobody seems to have answered yet... when taken together are they each a +3 implant, or +4.5's?

Implant set bonuses do not affect the attribute boost. It will still be Perception/Intelligence +3.



EVEMail: Will this be a new implant for *all* characters on each account, or just the one actively training?

One per account. You can allocate it to the character of your choice on that account using Redeem Items feature.



EVEMail: Will this implant be automatically issued to new pilots, or will future (or additional, see above) pilots have to purchase them?

They will be distributed to all active accounts on November 29th.



EVEMail: Will it be issued unplugged, so that a pilot may choose to keep his +5 Snake, etc.?

It will be distributed through the Redeeming system. When claiming items through the Redeem Item system, the item is placed in the hangar of the station that selected character is docked at.

Not sure how the game handles it, but if you plug both implants in, wouldn't that mean you get n * 1.50 * 1.50 , since there are two implants with a 50% bonus each? If yes, that would make for more than 100% boosted stats in total, also potentially increasing the bonus to attributes above the so-far magic number of 5. Hell, in the end, it'd be 3 * 2.25 (6.75) , mathematically.
