Meh, no uglier than the existing Golem. Maybe even a marginal improvement once it gets lights. I am curious to see it transform.

The current raven hull is pretty freaking awesome, this however looks like the ******** stepchild of a duck and a platypus

Yeah yeah we know that the Golem's textures are not final.. Except that the problem does not only lies in textures, but also in it's very shape.

I also note that despite trying to ease the pain, you never confirmed that another, different, version of the Golem, or better, another 3D model, would be in preparation.

I hope I'm wrong, but then why not simply saying it clearly ? Cry


Edit : Oh and regarding your last post, I'm pretty sure that there is only so much lights can do...

Well, for one thing which is easy to miss is that the Golem in the video there has no lights coming from it. Which really makes it look "flat" and uninteresting. So over the next few updates of Singularity players will see it update also.

So we're going to end up with a shinier, less flat platypus?

It's a Caldari ship.

Caldari ships are designed by committee: a mess of conflicting ideas and goals gelling to create something no-one likes, but represents a compromise so hard-fought no-one will admit it's awful.

The man who designed the left half of the Rook reportedly tried to kill the guy who did the right-hand side when the ship was unveiled. Comparatively, the Moa was a triumph! Both the suit-case faction and the dinosaur faction were happy.


The Golem is clearly a case of the guy who did the right side of the Raven having paid mercs to kill the left-hand guy, so when he got the T2 do-over he 'corrected the mis-steps of the past'.
Then the guy who did the Osprey's cockpit snuck in and re-modelled the Golem's bridge without anyone realising.



(Actually I like it, though it's a little too symmetrical. I love the heat-sink/shield-emitter things the Bastion deploys.)

Wingtips need some work, too symmetrical. neck is a bit long and projections are too thin but i don't have a problem with their direction especially since I consider the old models not to my taste because they are overly thick. Ones too thick, ones to thin, wheres that middle bowl of porridge?
