No launcher/cant play EVE

I had trouble launching EVE on my Mac so I found I could start the game by opening the package contents in the application and going to the resources file and opening it from there.

This bypassed the launcher and started the game.

The problem is that the game received an update patch and now I can't start the game at all. I agreed to install the update when prompted but every time I try and start the game it tells me the game needs to shut down so the update process can begin.

I am lost as to what to do. Oh and this is the second time I installed the game.

I am happy to uninstall and reinstall it but is the same thing going to happen to me again the next time they update the game??

Sorry to double post but I solved my problem thanks to someone else on the forum so if anyone else has the same problem then the fix is as follows:

go into the security settings and in privacy change to allow applications from any source to be loaded. That fixed it for me.
