I've had several players from my corp who are years old saying Null sec in SOV space has become boring lately. Im wondering what everyone thinks to null sec and if they don't like it what they think could change to make it more enjoyable. Bear

tried it a few times, never managed to stay more than a month because the PVP doesn't interest me and everything else is easier/more rewarding in high sec.

Yay, this account hasn't had its signature banned. or its account, if you're reading this.

It's only boring if you're bad (or your corp/alliance is bad). Right now I am involved in so much fighting that I can't physically make it to all of it on one character.

From what I`ve been told null`s become 2 big power blocs and there pets. if your not in them then your going to get destroyed the second you enter null. except with rare exceptions. Then again never been there myself can only repeat what ive been told for now.

Sov null has it's exciting moments. Not many, to be sure, but a good time when they happen.

NULL... I heard nobody lives there... crappy cable TV and too far from a liquor store... burnt out cars in alleys and grafitti everywhere...garbage piling up since last summer and the local politicians are all corrupt... like nobody cares about the neighbourhood anymore, so they all grabbed U-Hauls and moved to a better place. Sov space has always been boring. NPC null is where the good fights are at.

Sov null is okay. Does get boring, though. The ******* structure grind, especially. My heart goes out to those who had to flip TEST's abandoned infrastructure.

PvP-wise, I prefer NPC null or FW low-sec, as each has it's perks. NPC Null gives you the advantages of 0.0 (Bubbles, being the biggest one, I can think of, because I am partially imbibed right now, lol.) FW Lowsec, on the other hand, forces small ship PvP.

Personally, while blob fights can be thrilling, you can also get blue-balled a hell of a lot easier, and you can spend an hour or two sitting on a titan, waiting to bridge.

PvE-wise, (because let's be honest, unless you pay completely out of pocket to play the game, you gotta make isk to fly, amiright), I feel that Sov null is perhaps the safest place in the game, while simultaneously giving you the thrill of being out of CONCORD's protection. Also teaches you valuable lessons early in your EVE career, like pay attention to local and intel channels, stay aligned, make safe spots in the systems you operate in.....so on an so forth. And the safety of well-defended Sov, can be quite lucrative to your wallet, if you do the right things.

Like all things in EVE, it has it's pro's and con's. No matter what you choose to pursue, there is always at least one downside of it.

Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

More Ships with bubble immunity or remove bubbles completely and null is less boring.
Bubbles are one of the biggest mistakes ccp has ever done.

No major conflicts atm, so its a little dull. Everybody is still slapping each other every chance we get though, so **** does go down on a daily basis.

Then you're doing it wrong. Find out what is boring about it and change that element, or find something new to do.

Boring is a Relative term. I'm never bored in null, I'm exploring, shooting NPCs, dodging neutrals etc.

EVE imo isn't a game then lends itself to instant gratification in terms of pvp. It's chess, not checkers.

To be fair, when I get bored in null I have been known to reset my PI just to change the pattern of my installations.

Weird I know, but there it is.

EDIT- I might even have some old screenshots of different pictures I've drawn with my factory planets.

I wouldn't say it is boring but i had more fun fighting in small gang than in big fights when i lived in the north.

Depends what you find fun, really. If you like running 7/10's through 10/10's, ratting/plexing and that type of pve stuff, Sov is the place to be. And every now and then you'll have to get into a fleet with hundreds of other people, and press f1 when the fc tells you to press f1 to make a stationary structure go pop after a while.

Most 0.0 "fights" and pvp happen in NPC 0.0 (see: Curse at the moment). Most kills/fights, in general, happen in lowsec (see: Blackrise and gallente-caldari facwar). Blackrise absolutely dwarfs every other region of eve for the first half of 2013. But those lowsec fights tend to happen in smaller/cheaper ships.

It really comes down to personal preference. PvE in sov is stupidly profitable and easy, as long as you keep an eye on intel channels. PvP is generally less common in sov than npc 0.0 or lowsec.

As noted, Curse is popping.
