That's an abysmal representation of the Raven.

I finally started to modestly appreciate the oddball ship the Raven is and then this shows up as a WIP.

Terrible, terrible, terrible design.

Is the designer the same one that did the Moa? Sure as hell seems like it.

- I think my passion is misinterpreted as anger sometimes. And I don't think people are ready for the message that I'm delivering, and delivering with a sense of violent love.

EVE Online - Kronos and Golem Bastion Mode

Looks pretty cool...and if you enter "bastion" in the moveme channel on SiSi you will get access to the new Marauders but remember still WIP (apparently this works but I haven't tried it yet myself).

My first serious thought about the new optic:

duck-billed platypus [Ornithorhynchus anatinus]

I will call this ship by his new name. :)

(In other words it is realy ugly.. o.O)
  1. Eigenen Beitrag mit sachliche Argumentationen, Problemschilderung, Erklärung, Lösungsansätzen formulieren.
  2. Beitrag enthält eine eigene Meinung im Fazit zum Thema.
  3. Negative Äußerungen, Drohungen usw. gegenüber Nutzern haben in der Meinung nichts zu suchen.

so.... wait a minute. golem's getting a ground up redesign along with a bastion mode animation? the wings up thing reminds me of a klingon bird of prey in attack posture.

not liking it one bit. ive always had a liking to the raven hull.

Looks so much better than ******* grey camo.

Aesthetics are subjective so we can all say anything and its largely irrelevant but camo in space is ******* gay, and any non camo model looks better than any camo model.

I can only hope they take the camo off the Vargur. It was still like that yesterday. I could only look because the server is 2 seasons behind and I couldn't actually fly it.

You realise we are talking about the Golem here?

You refer to the CNR camo, the Golem has had this colorscheme for god knows how long now.

Wow... I understand that ship design, like any type of artwork, is subjective; a matter of personal taste but... yeah, put me in the "this thing is hideous" camp. The Raven model (that actually looks nice as of its last remodel and the addition of design elements borrowed from the Tengu) didn't deserve this.

I feel for you Golem pilots. When CCP gave Minmatar pilots the "brick on top of a snow plow" Talwar destroyer, many of us voiced our displeasure and asked them to reconsider. Sadly, the art department was in love with the monstrosity so they stuck with it. As a very minor concession they grafted on a couple of Loki-inspired wingy parts. Woohoo. Good luck with getting anyone in CCP to take your views into consideration.

I guess I should be grateful. This means that I can remove Caldari Battleship V from my list of things to train soon. I sincerely hope they don't give the Vargur a similar makeover.

I have pretty much accepted that this is the new look, if CCP have gone this far with their art they wont turn back.
I just hate when they decide one ship needs a complete rework of a hull (and an iconic one at that) and others in the class don't change at all. The new bastion effect could have been done with the current raven wings and front and look just as awesome.

To the CCP art team,

Thank you for bringing the final nail in the coffin when i was finally trying to reason with the use of bastion mode and come up with usage scenarios for it... i do not feel like flying the Platy--- err Golem anymore and i'll go with CNR instead... easy choice.
This just means one more Golem for sale soon at Jita.

In my opinion there is zero effort made to this remodel and it with the whole "transforming hulls" thing is just a marketing gimmick to bring new players to the game, until they realize how simple the transformations actually are...

I cannot believe the same team made the Apocalypse remodel, it looks just absolutely gorgeous. Just compare the amount of details and geometry between the ships...

Yea they messed it up. The nose area is something one might get used to but the wings are looking kinda weird. Dont understand why the changed the kinda cool looking raven for bad.

But unfortunately i also think they wont make a step backward and change the design. I hardly will be able to stick to the golem skillplan. Sad. Very sad.

This design looks good if it was 2007 but come on! its 2013 why cant we get a hull like the beautiful paladin or kronos? the current model isnt great but the new one is worst ! i was really hoping something new and exciting that can compete with paladin in a beauty contest Sad

Give me back the Golem with the hammerhead, I loved it. It did look very cool. The current (OLD) one is SO UGLY!!! I protest!
In any case please change it, this so outdated and it looks like the head of a pigeon... total fail.

Indeed very sad that a few people ruin the experience of 1000s of other users. The design is so old an ugly that any change is refreshing. I do not say that the hammerhead is the greatest option but I am very OK with it when compared to the incredibly ugly look of the of the old hull.
