Provi is a terrible place to start your null experience in. They are NRDS ( Not Red Don't Shoot). if you bump into someone while out, you will need to check the KOS checker, make sure if he can or can not be shot at before you shoot them. It takes time, and you could be half dead before you get it all figured out.
Other areas of null are NBSI (Not Blue Shoot It) no thought involved.. shoot whomever is not blue.

With that, I think I might just stick to low sec, seems to be more fun and people don't whine as much in local where I'm at.

If you change your mind and want to live in null. Send me a mail in game. TNT is a large sov holding alliance and part of the CFC. My corporation is currently recruiting. We have access to 'safe' PvE content and are currently deployed to Curse for some fun pew pew without much sov grinding.

So, send me a mail if you like and I'll hook you up with the recruiting dept.

I guess the motives and policies of alliances vary, which explain why Providence prefers NRDS policy. Providence is special among all the nullsec regions in the Eve universe. Furthermore, many fleets from various origins love to visit Providence for PvP overall. There are always red pilots around, enough to shoot at. NRDS literally means that the neutral has the first shot, and there is no reason to not welcome visitors in general, who do not have hostile intentions.
Of course you can complicate your life with KOS checking just in order to figure out whether the neutral target you have in sight can be aggressed or not, but I would not bother focussing neutrals for PvP that hard, for 1 minute later another red pilot will enter the system you are at.

If one finds thinking difficult, then Provi may be a terrible place to start. For those of us who aren't thick, it's fine.

Protect me from knowing what I don't need to know. Protect me from even knowing that there are things to know that I don't know. Protect me from knowing that I decided not to know about the things that I decided not to know about. Amen.
