Well done CCP for only letting us get these on the 29th... when I'm away on holiday, any chance a dev can confirm whether players will be able to redeem these if they are unable to login on the 29th because of RL commitments?

im with you on this one i fly out to mexico on the 28th for my wedding and im gone for 3 weeks. do you have to actually log in on the 29th or will the fact you have an active account mean you can still reddem them

You missed the 50% bonus to implant set. I don't know if this is gonna work as the omega implant in slot 6 for slave and crystal implants or as an overall bonus to learning attributes. Whichever way it turns out, the implant is gonna be freaking expensive.


No, 3% is what you'll get with the Set bonus.

No, 3% is what you'll get with the Set bonus.


3% would be a 100% bonus, you'll get 2.25%

All other Set bonuses are multiplicative, so it's probable that this one will be as well.

I have a similar problem. I live in the ass end of Missouri where internet speeds are laughable at best. It takes a little over an hour for me to download 100mb of information with my crappy internet service. This patch is going to be quit hefty in size with the new nebulae and ship skins. As a result of my crappy internet and patch size I may spend the entire day downloading the patch.

I thought that too but they are not Slot 6, which makes them a weird match with Omega and also I'm not sure if the "Set Bonus" is referring to "any set" or specific to this "CA-" set?

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I thought it means any ACTIVE (non trial) account will be able to redeem this item.

I'm fairly certain you don't need to be online on that day to get it. I remember redeeming previous gifts many days after they were handed out. Your account simply needs to be subscribed on that date.

So to summarize:

Situation A: your account wasn't subscribed on the 29th => You can't get the gift
Situation B: Your account was subscribed (even if done through plex's) on the 29th but you couldn't login => you can still get your gift
Situation C: Your account was subscribed (even if done through plex's) and you could log in => obvious
Situation D: your account is a trial account on the 29th => you can't get it.

Unless they decided to ninja change the rules to **** a lot of people off. Which i hardly doubt.

I went back and looked at the front page and this what it says in the news article about the new implant.

The Genolution CA-1 will be distributed during the Crucible release to all active subscribers of EVE Online.
