Yes, I am a roqual pilot and would like to see a couple changes on the ship

1. Subsystem or a mod that allows the ship to use something other then oxygen isotopes to jump
2. Being able refine (or just create a different ship that only does refining)
3. Put Strip Miners on all the high slots.... if I wanted too

Anyways... it would be nice to see it re-evaluated.

I concur. A separate ship that acts like a mobile refinery would be epic. Make it slow as all hell, but allow people to refine and fully support remote mining operations. Could also be used in a wh.

Furthermore, a subsystem on the rorq that allows you to "change" the type of fuel/isotopes u could use would also be a huge improvement. This way, the rorq could truly be a mobile mining hq.

This +1

I'd like to see another ship dedicated to that.

Percolate

2 - High Slot
8 - Medium
6 - Low

Capacity - 20,000m3
Fleet Hanger - 40,000m3
Ore/Mineral Hold - 200,000m3
Fuel Bay - 30,000m3
Drone Bay - 500m3
Ship Maintenance Bay - 1,500,000m3

Ore/Mineral Hold can hold anything that is refined on the spot.
Can fit Industrial Core I (Industrial Core II can be made for this - Industrial Reconfiguration IV needed)
Can fit Covert Ops Cloak
Ship Maintenance Bay can only hold industrial ships
20,000m3 refined per Industrial core cycle

Capital Industrial Ships skill bonuses:
5% bonus to Ore/Mineral Hold per level
-5% reduction in fuel consumption for industrial core per level
25% bonus to drone damage and hit points

Everyone used the Hel mother ships for fleet mining. Witch requires a pos. Are you saying you can't refine at a pos? The Hel would heal the miners and add fighter control. Same thing for the haulers that have 25 band width..a hel can lock down star systems just post a squad at each gate in near by system. Only use ship with 125 band with.

You can refine at a POS with the right POS mod, can't remember off the top of my head what it's called. Usually need a large POS to have the mod installed as well.

Problem with POS refining is that it's very slow (max 200k m3/ 3hrs) and comes with a 30% loss that you can't get rid of. A single miner can already mine faster than the POS module can refine. With even a relatively small mining group, it's easy to get to the point where mining for 3 hours a day means you'd need to have a POS refinery running 24/7 just to refine everything.

Refining at a POS is pretty much awful.

A covop cloak? Really? For starters its already a massive cap ship so it won't be taking gates anyway. Next I'd say it would have to do a reconfig to refine (just like compressing I believe) then it would be stuck immobile and uncloakable anyways.

Oh I didn't see where you want it to be able to take hisec (or any) gates, have the align time/SIG/mass of a slasher. I'm assuming it would have to be interdiction nullified as well of course.

0/10. obvious troll is obvious.

Dude, it's an idea... I didn't put down ALL the details about it because I was hoping some other people would be able to add or take away. This is where WE as eve players design ships and mods. You take an idea, and build on it.

The features and ideas forum is that way ->

Furthermore, every one seems to think a covop cloak should be standard on every ship. And it is a terrible idea.

The moment those have better or at least as good refining than free NPC refinery slots, I'm ok and support this thread 10000²%
