Hi all!

I have a question about transfering ISK from trial accounts. I have a 14 days trial acc, on which I have some ISK. That acc is one I will not use anymore. I will use this acc. I tryed to transfer ISK to this char, and the game tells I can not do that cause trial accounts can not transfer ISK. Is it legal to set something, like 1 unit of Tritanium, for the price of 12 mils ISK with this char, and then buy it with that char which is on trial acc?

Yes it is legal. However, if you don't understand how the market works you risk giving all your isk to someone else.

Well, I would set 1 unit of trit for 12 mils on market with this char, and then I would buy it with the char on my trial account.

Yes but if there was another sell order up for Tritanium in the same station, you would click on your sell order for 12M but receive the Trit and pay the money to the lowest priced order - the full 12M even if his price was only 2 Isk. He would get a nice surprise when he checked his wallet and you would be wondering where your Isk went any why your sell order was still there.

Pick something odd that nobody else is selling, like a piece of mission junk, a medium hull repairer or something.

Your best bet is probably buying something worth all your money, then doing a dead-drop and picking it up with your other character to sell. As previously mentioned, if you don't understand how the market works you WILL get burned doing it that way.

(Protip: You can't choose which sell order you buy from, only how much you are willing to pay)

You cannot chose the sell order. You always buy from the lowest priced sell order.

I once used a jetcan to trade items to a trial account.

It wasn't hard. I just set the sell order with this char, and then simply choosen highest price with my trial acc char and that's it.

Not exactly

600 / 1.00 / Station / Player A
46,584 / 1.12 / Station / Player B
1 / 12,000,000.00 / Station / You

In this case if you buy your order the result is

599 / 1.00 / Station / Player A
46,584 / 1.12 / Station / Player B
1 / 12,000,000.00 / Station / You

and Player A gets your money

The key thing is that all of the above orders were at the same station and so you forces you to the lowest bidder for the same price.

What you do is set the sell order as the lowest price, then you can pay whatever you want with the other account and it'll buy the lowest order (yours) for that much.

It's generally much safer to do it via jetcan though.

It only works if nobody else is selling the same item at that station.

Actually I believe that this is *NOT* allowed, as it is a form of ISK laundering. Granted, the ISK laundering rules were meant to stop ISK farming and RMT, so a small amount of ISK such as 12 million ISK may be permitted (or at least ignored).

As Tau said it only works if you're the only seller of said item at that station.
I once got 25 million ISK from someone that tried the same thing you did and didn't understand how it works either.
My order was selling the item for 50000 ISK until he came and bought for 25 million thinking it would take his order if he selects it.

In short you were lucky this time. Better follow advices to save you from some bad misfortunes.

There has been some sound advice in this thread. Don't discount it on the fact that you were quite lucky there.

Very short version: The EVE market is a broker system, it is not a peer to peer system. You can only work with the parameters own your own buy or sell orders, the broker decides which orders are matched up (according to a few rules).

If I give you 5 orders at the SAME station you are buying in -

Tritanium @ 10,000,000.00 ISK
Tritanium @ 1.99 ISK
Tritanium @ 1.98 ISK
Tritanium @ 1.97 ISK
Tritanium @ 1.96 ISK

And you right click the one setup at 10,000,000 ISK and try to buy it - you will ACTUALLY pay the guy who is selling it at 1.96 ISK 10,000,000 ISK.

What is happening is you are setting up a BID for 10,000,000 ISK piece of tritanium - the system gives the lowest "selling offer" the BID at 10,000,000 ISK.

I wouldn't do it in a busy area with lots of competition.

Probably the safest and most secure way to transfer on item between two accounts, one trial and one non-trial, would be to log them on at the same time. If you cannot do that, then do then this is probably the next safest:

Warp to the sun.
Make a bookmark on the way to the sun.
Warp back to your bookmark.
Make a 2nd bookmark at the spot.
Warp back to the sun.
Make 1 of your bookmarks an item (click drag it from the people and places window into your cargo hold.)
Jetcan the 1 bookmark into space.
Dock up, and log off.
Log on account #2.
Warp to the sun.
Pick up the bookmark from the jetcan.
Click-drag your bookmark item into your people and places.

Now you have two accounts that have a bookmark in the same "safe spot" in space.

Trials cannot create contracts, but can they accept contracts?
Something like: main issues a personal contract for 1 trit in exchange of x isk to trial.

Nope, trials can not issue or take a contract. However, I found some Hardwiring Noble thing, took it at the station where there was not such item for sale and bought it with the main char.
