Say I am an artist, could I trade my artwork for isk in game? Things like art postcards and paintings?

Hmm, if I wanted to sell a painting for isk, could I technically just setup a raffle as this is technically what Somer blink does?
I'm not anti summer blink I just think it would be fun advertising selling artwork for isk.

I was just told that people offer website building services for isk. Would that be considered a monetary service more than a postcard?

No, you don't. You especially don't when you're in public and GMs might interpret your joke as a serious statement of receiving in-game benefits for out-of-game services.

You are allowed to take payment for some undefined set of game-related services. The only real clarification offered through the years is that you can't wash someone's car for ISK, even if you do it wearing an EVE t-shirt.

People trade "services" for in game isk, i.e. people will design websites, killboards, etc. I have seen people host teamspeak servers for in game isk as well, and it doesn't seem like CCP has any problem with that.

Now, if you were to trade RL items for isk that may be a problem. Not really sure though. That would be something you may want to submit an ingame ticket to find out from the GM for sure.

CCP seems to have a pretty wide variance on the interpretations of the EULA depending on who is actually enforcing the rules that day. Kind of like when a woman says everything is alright, but then goes batshit crazy a few minutes later.

Yeah Ill ask for clarity, this would be more of a service than an item, even if they get a piece of paper with a drawing on it

This is not the place for a reliable answer to your question where the outcome could potentially involve a game ending ban. File a petition stating your business proposal. See what the GMs say.

"The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental."

Yes, you absolutely can. There have been several forum signature designers, logo designers, etc. For a long time on the old avatar pictures, there was a service that would animate your avatar in a gif.

edit: proof

Can the buyer go and sell the work he bought of you for real money? If yes, it's not allowed.

Else I would give you 100 million for a painting I could sell for 50 bucks. I would then have sold 100 million ISK for 50 bucks. See how that works?

Of course you are - I am considering to start an adult movie site for isk and get trillions of isk from CCP if it works (I'm a porn movie artist).

Considering they repeatedly reward eve relateded isk-based gambling sites with ingame gifts, I feel strongly encouraged.

Once I RMT'd enough of the income and gifts, I will widen it to hookers for isk.

Then I'll sponsor an eve themed gang-bang event in Amsterdam with a hooker dressed up as Jamyl Sarum.

Probably I'll try to get sponsorship from Heineken, and convince CCP to provide Ishukone Leviathans in every 100'st bottlecap.

If CCP encourages that, they can't possibly object to some paintings.

So youre saying that topless carwashes for ISK are perfectly fine. Fantastic!

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Your transactions might fall into that gray area as in, unless it became an issue that required a GM to become involved, or you made it their business by posting it on a public forum, then it could be overlooked... at CCP's discretion of course.
