I think another Burn Jita is needed. Goons need to kick and scream harder to get their point across!

It's not just Goons' point. A lot of people are upset by CCP's actions. Show a little intelligence, obviously the single largest player organization is going to have a unified voice when controversy arises.

What did CCP do?

They showed appreciation towards a player group that does a lot in the community.

Goonswarm is all up in arms cause it wasn't shown to them, as they're proved multiple times in the past week!

Incorrect. They arbitrarily and without any reason or reasoning handed out massive amounts of valuables in secret to a single group of individuals because a dev liked them.

This favouritism has as much to do with the community as T20's BPO handout (except that one was much smaller and aimed at a group that created actual in-game content).

Also incorrect. A dozen or so goons posting on GD is not "up in arms" for an alliance of thousands. Many people in Goonswarm don't care one way or the other. Goons just like to post. We're always posting.

A while back, when Gold Magnate Gate (hereafter referred to as Golden Mangate) hit, Weaselior posted a very tongue in cheek request to be rewarded similarly as a way of demonstrating how problematic CCP awarding things to player groups is, since he rightly knew that people would be upset if CCP actually did give something to Goonswarm. Dozens of GD forums regulars with severe space autism took it entirely literally and can't process the whole Socratic irony thing, and now we'll probably never stop hearing about it, which is actually pretty hilarious so keep on posting, brosef.

i think its time we drop the hyperbole and talk about how cool the winter expansion is. as long as i can play the game and have fun killing people and chill with my buddies thats all i really care about.

I for one think the warp acceleration change is going to be epic in changing gameplay.

though i am sure due to the rage of a select alliance and certain individuals who are remenicant of the mob from Shakespeare Julius Cesar will cause CCP to change its policy of giving out vanity ships that have no real purpose other then a purdy killmail and station spinning to people and corps they feel have contributed positively to the game outside of the client (for profit or not).
