Not quite sure why, but I am drawn to the idea of flying an ewarship, as I like the idea of helping my fleetmates through crippling the other fleet. Is this an effective tactic in FW? What faction fleet(s) are organized enough to make effective use of EW?

They are effective and all four factions use them regularly.

Thanks for the reply! Is there one faction that seems to better organize covert ops fleets for ewar / bombing?

Ewar frigs are useful and are used (well don't see many vigils, because lol painters).

As for black ops drops and bombing, this is more a nullsec thing. Not that black ops bridging doesn't happen in lowsec (of course without bombs) but most FW fighting is inside or outside plex gates where cynos cannot be lit.

As for general stats between the factions I'll provide the following links for you to make your own conclusions.

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, [u]please[/u] give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

At the moment we've been seeing quite a few maulus and griffin fits or their cruiser equivalents. Both are effective. Cov Ops wise, the rapier and zoo seem the most at home in fw.

Used to have a couple friends who all could fly falcons and rooks. Didn't bring them out often, but when they did, it was a lot of fun.


Most useful ewar IMHO is sensor damping and sensor jamming.

Pretty much the basics:

Everyone faction uses all of them (even Vigils/Hyenas surprisingly, though they are the least used, with the Griffin/Maulus being most). From a Cal-Gal warzone focus, they are used (and their cruisers) effectively by most major names. Many of whom have already posted in this thread. Covops is meh in FW and lowsec in general simply due to the mechanics and practicality - though I have seen the occasional Rapier tear into people for surprise rapeage.
