My year-long subs recently came up, and despite it's flaws, it's still the best spaceship game on the market, so that made the decision easy. The money was burning a hole in my pocket, and it's a company I'm glad to support so I went and spent my Eve yearly sub money.

Are there any other space games out there that are fun while waiting for Star Citizen to come out?

You beat me to it... OP bought into a game that is optimistically over a year away and then comes to the EvE forums to whine and give the obligaory EvE is dying crap...
