I read the first post thoroughly. SOMER is the scissors that CCP runs with, therefore Mittens has decided that SOMER needs to go. Therefore this is aimed at SOMER. It's a crude attempt at a strong-arm tactic which will not work because SOMER is much too well-established and popular.

I never said anything about this being aimed at somer... Hell, if ccp offered me a 10+ bil ship I would take it, just like probably 99% of you lot would.

The problem is CCP here and that these actions DIRECTLY contradict the idea of a sandbox. Furthermore, why are they rewarding a for profit isk machine rather than Other community entities which focus on training and retaining new players.

Overall, this is one of the most disturbing things I've seen come out of CCP in the 10+ years I've been here... T20 was bad, but ccp was kind of young then, but to do it again, and again, and again? You really have let allot of people down ccp, it seems soundwave jumped the boat for good reason.

they wanted to give the whole social security system away a few years ago
seems a good microcosm of what happens in the real world

You guys are all missing the bigger picture here, mittens crusade to try and kill off blink is a slight and nothing more.

TDLR : Kill Blink > Goons create a blink clone > Goons make trillions of isk and dominate the game entirely and mould it to their ideals due to bottomless pockets.

if ccp == the government of eve, then essentially this is just a government contract to a profit making company to provide a service (raffle) they should just be doing themselves, like happens all the time.

As second no other lottery is even close to what Sommerblink did for our community. In my opinion and apparently in CCPs opinion others didn't deserved it.

Hah you are assuming that people that use somer blink are reasonable or "logical". People who use somer blink are like people who use the slot machine. The ingredient that makes you a reasonable person is missing, or other wise you won't be playing a game where you have a high negative expected value, and that doesn't provide any entertainment value

So you can be as reasonable as you like , it isn't going to happen because the people that use somer blink aren't reasonable.
