False positive due to some trouble they had with an advertising server.

All is well, grr goons aren't trying to steal your identity.

I had this same problem with ads on a major email provider. It is frustrating, I know. But the site is perfectly safe.

We also hid your keys the other morning when you were late for work. Heh, you should have seen your face. We had a good laugh. Oh, and that guy who cut you off in traffic on the way home, causing you to get stuck at a really long light? That was me! Hi!

I thought I was the only one.

Tell me again about how every playstyle you dont engage in "doesn't require any effort" and everyone who does it needs to die in a fire. Be sure to mention about how you tried it once but it was too easy/boring/ethnic-homophobic slur.

Third party ads. Somebody slips some malicious code in there and it hitchhikes right onto your machine. It happens. Run a virus scan if you visited the site in the last day or so.

It is malicious code, if you go to TMC ingame, it takes info from the client.

Character name and IP Addy, in a attempt to figure out people alts. Something about being paranoid about being backstabbed.

Thus when you run the site out of game you get antivirus popping up since the code wasn't written properly.

I hope the RL CONCORD is looking after you and your CIA affiliate-friends!

Also, can you please tell NSA that I don't want them to snoop in my data? I avoid Facebook for exactly that reason.

A lot of community/social sites have ad trackers that basically work in the same way google does; it harvests your related searches and tries to match up your results with future wants. It's a very smart code and good to use for gaming companies and their subsidiaries but unfortunately, the nature of "harvesting" does not bode well with AV companies which design products to protect you.

While tmc might be safe, the ads trigger false positives as an AV program cannot discern the differences between internet/ad traffic and your own personal information.

It'll get resolved shortly I'm sure.
