It's October 4th; guess what that means?

That's right, it's been four months since this "feature" launched, and it's still causing problems for players.

So CCP, how's that "improvement" coming? Are we going to get any kind of status update anytime soon?

If not, then maybe you should really reconsider this whole off switch thing...

Why a switch on/off? Because the new animation doesn't add anything to gameplay and it's graphically annoying. In other words, it's worse than bad: it's useless. Simple as that.     _ - Kina Ayami_

Johan Civire is wrong and he knows it. The "fake image" is very similar to the "past year" graphic available on EVE-Offline. The difference is that the "fake image" don't count from zero, making the graph more self-explanatory...

Of course, the problem reported on this topic is not the only reason of the dip of logged accounts, and it is probably only a very small part of it. Still, I had two accounts, now one, and none in one month (I decided to stay until I use my last plex).

And fact is, motion sickness is a reality and whatever the "tough" guys can say, denying it is a bad idea. CCP has difficulties to blast the 30K-logged trap that Eve is since the last five years. It is not by sending players screw themselves for no reason or stay silent that CCP will success to finally leave this trap. Especialy as it seems that new competitors are coming in 2014 (I look forward to them, as CCP don't give me the choice).

Your post is filled with run-on sentences, misspelled words, and general grammatical errors. However, English may not be your first language. So all of that could be overlooked. But, the argument you are trying to assert in your post has fallen into an all too common tired new tactic of weak argumentation.

A few posts ago you pulled statistics out of your ass in an attempt to support your position. Now you resort to calling anyone that disagrees with you a troll. And, you think somehow repetition of your accusation lends it weight. It does not.

Simply put, there are players that are negatively affected by the new jump and autoscan changes. The negative effects range from annoyance to vertigo and nausea. They are demanding an on/off button in the client if CCP wants to keep them as paying customers. This on/off button will not change your experience of the new "features." If you like them you will be able to continue to enjoy them. So really, why do you care and post itt?

Anyway, thanks for the bump. And while I hope you do stop posting, somehow I think you will not be able to follow through on your threat to abandon this "threat." Be seeing you. o///

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, please give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

Well, CCP always provide the most important features with expansions, so we can hope to see some options or anything else with Rubicon. We just have to keep the pressure, a reason why I still didn't leave (can't post when unsubscribed).

But I wonder if recently about gaming developement, the idea to give options to the users become a taboo. For exemple, Maxis said today that they can't permit the construction of bigger cities in Simcity, because "the majority of the players won't be able to play on, not even load, a bigger city". Sure that if everyone must have the same capacity without getting the choice to accept or refuse it, then it can't be done. A Core2duo can't rivalize with a Core I7 for exemple... But if they offered some OPTIONS (or specific maps with different city sizes, whatever the way to do it) they would be able to give this capacity to the players who have a good computer, while the others ones still keep their ability to play with a lower computer by building a standard city. It is like they forbid themselves from creating any options...

The refusal of the idea of offering options can only alienate the players.

(If CCP just read this topic, I suggest them to read my post here for a partially constructive feedback)

What is this? https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3717663#post3717663 Graphics causing physical symptoms in our EVE? Well I never.

Give us a post CCP on whether the problems brought to your attention itt (and the threads that preceded it when the jumpgate, warp and autoscan graphics were put on the test server before) will be addressed if you bother to get to the graphics problem mentioned in the above link. Straight

No. There will be no update. And you will only have more new reasons to wipe or replace your keyboard (or stop playing).Sad

Will "death scene, corpses, incoming stargate jumps" be on SiSi with this build? I don't recall changes for these being announced.

Yes, the death scene will now have an exploded version of your pod and a corpse variation based on your gender/race/bloodline.

The jump gates will have a incoming jump effect played to make it easier to see people entering the system.

Hey CCP Vertex, will these new scenes also cause vertigo, nausea, and annoyance? Straight

The animation is already there. We just need an option to use it.

How to do it wrong: Make a solo player animation and remove the gate animation effect that was seen by
all the players when a gate was activated form the other side.

How to do it wrong: focus on graphics in a strategy game.

How to do it wrong: Make a 1 hour downtime during a Saturday and only 10 minutes during the week days :)

Reactivated an account to see if that goofy LOLWarpTunnelEffect had been tweaked or if we had been given an option for a "fade-to-black" transition. I saw in some patch notes that it had been "tweaked", but I don't see any noticeable difference, other than the tunnel flows in directions other than "forward", and is pixelated, garbled, and twisted during most jumps.

It's not my drivers or my PC causing it, both PC's I used to play EVE on give the same results. I also see no option to enable a "fade-to-black" transition or to disable the animation entirely

It seems CCP is sticking to their "no cop-out" stance. I just don't see where giving loyal customers several different options so they can customize their client and gameplay experience to their liking as being a "cop-out".

I think this has ALOT to do with CCP's corporate culture. In emerging, second world progressive countries like Iceland, providing a good, stable product and the customer service to make it succeed usually takes a back seat to the endless direction changes taken in favor of someone's "vision". Also, they don't seem to care if they lose subscriptions or not.

Many egalitarian-centered societies usually frown on their companies making exorbitant profits, maybe that's why they have the "our way or the highway" attitude they all have when dealing with the playerbase, but that's just speculation and digression...

Anyway, here to scope things out for another 30 days... Fly safe!

Quick tip: For those who are especially prone to vertigo and motion sickness, F10 is your friend. With a little tweaking, the overview is a more than sufficient tool to navigate with.

In-game sounds muted since Retribution, F10 Jumper since Odyssey

I agree.

An off switch would be a great improvement.

Why a switch on/off? Because the new animation doesn't add anything to gameplay and it's graphically annoying. In other words, it's worse than bad: it's useless. Simple as that.     _ - Kina Ayami_

I like the animation and find it enhances my experience in EVE. I am not joking or being sarcastic.
