Just fell for a SOMER Blink scam. I admit getting a bit excited over the hoopla that is SOMER Blink.

Saw an advertisement:

Autxxxxxxs Mxxn > >SOMER Blink> is having a special! Get 2x the Blink credit until 00:30 EVE time today only! Visit the website in the corporation description to join in on the fun & great prizes! Have you Blinked today?

Even went to the actual website and a near identical channel to make it all look like it was the real SOMER Blink. In some respects it was, as it did link to the actual website.

Nonetheless when I placed an order it went to "SOMER Blink."

Please note the "." in the name.

Should have known better, but I am new.

Guess it's my "Welcome to EVE" message :(

Hope no one else gets scammed.

The actual SOMER Blink is on the case!

And yeah, this is probably a EULA violation under the new TOS.

Saw the same scam, if you read the fine print in the guys bio he trys to cover himself regards the EULA.

Don't think it will work but its funny as hell...:)

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

Unfortunate for you to fall for this scam. As much as the deviant has tried to mimic Somer and her Corp, he made one glaringly obvious mistake, and you still threw your hard earned isk at it.

This muppet was spamming local with wonderful offers.

Somer, her staff or anyone involved with the real site would never spam anything in local, they don't have to. I have never been able to get them to chat in local on my trips to Jita.

Shame you got stung, but all the evidence you needed to spot the scam was there. Look closer in future mate.

Its even a violation with the current EULA. I would petition it and have them renamed.

I have petitioned a few guys trying to impersonate me or my alliance....with success. Twisted

In this case, if the scammer was saying he was a rep of SOMER Blink and he was not, it is a clear violation of the ToS. Petition. Get isk back. Get scammer banned.

The door swings both ways.

Let me get this straight. You sent isk to Somer and lost? Period or not, you would have lost anyway.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

I saw this in local - I also had a chat with him but he never claimed to be a rep of it so....
He also still has a disclaimer in his Bio (if you look it up) that he has nothing to do with SOMER Blink

I don't often agree with Tara on anything much, but these are wise words indeed.

SOMER were once a reputable gambling operation, now there is too much evidence of GM-SOMER collusion to ever trust them.

This scam has ALWAYS been against the EULA.

OP post a ticket against the corp. You should get your isk back, and you should see the corp getting renamed, as it's always been against the rules to impersonate another group of player like that.
They can try to convince you by other means, but if they create a similar name, it's a violation.

Although, looks like his was an EVE scam...... but

Somer Blink is a complete scam and has nothing to do with gambling like Vegas.
If you play, watch the participation of players (winners) over time and check their EVE bios, kill boards, etc.. and you'll see a pattern.

It's not just a 20/30% profit business deal, there are many rigged winners on that site. Participation of the same players on almost every deal. I participated in 4 to test, blew 100m on science.... then I watched for a few hours off and on. Same winners over 75% of the time, same group of players..... you figure it out... just really lucky gamblers with unlimited bankroll to pay the house odds all the time,,, i think not.

Best to avoid Somer Blink entirely

SOMER Blink means nothing to me.

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.
