Hey, I just got back into Eve and am looking to try out some of the new stuff and work towards Incursions.

Can anyone suggest a good t1 m4 ship for incursions or lvl 4-5 pve missions? I'm mostly trained up in Caldari and was looking at a Rokh, but I'm having a hard time cutting through maxed out EFTs, whose better than who, garbage to find a good suggestions on a fit for me. I can fit mostly tier 2 mids and lows, but not turrets for Null or Spike yet, and I've been running Naga as of late sniping which I've had good success kiting. Tho as far as a Rokh I can't seem to figure out if blasters and tanking is better or just Snipe... Not sure how well Blasters would work without being able to use Null? Open to any and all serious suggestions, thanks!! Big smile

From what i understand about incursions (and that really isn't much, because you know.. no incursions in wormholes)
But i believe the dps output from the npcs there is pretty massive. So i think you'll have difficulty finding groups with a poorly fit ship, so it's kind of Tech2/faction or go home.

as for level 4's I used a rokh briefly in my earlier days and had trouble with it. Though now we have micro jump drives, You could probably manage a sniping rokh with rails and a micro jump drive through most level 4's easily. (if not slowly)

Something like your 425 prototype gauss rails. with a nice shield tank, mission specific hardeners and a few magnetic stabilizers in the lows. I really only see time being the issue.

It might be worth training some gallente ship skills and using a Megathron though.

You *need* a tank, even if its a sniper fit.
A naga won't cut it, you will get alpha'd of the field in HQ sites.

*note that sniper fits are useless in VG sites, but are used in 20 man Assault fleets (Assault fleets are rarely run)
40 person HQ fleets routinely need them, but there is only 1 system with HQ sites per incursion, and you often have 3+ fleets running them. There will be competition, and if you lose, no payout. They likely won't want you without T2 guns.

Missile boats aren't well regarded, but neither are rail rokhs.
Without null, you won't have the range needed.
It might be OK in VGs, otherwise I'd say use a Raven.

But when rubicon comes out, it will be easy to train T2 large guns, so do that and fly a blaster Rokh.

Incursions and level 4 missions are very different beasts ...

In level 4s, you can tailor your tank to the damage done by the NPCs.

In Incursions, the Sanshas do all types of damage.

Anyway, here's a fit I lifted from a channel ingame about HQ Incursions, for the Rokh :

[Rokh, Rokh]

Lows :

Damage Control II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II

Mediums :

Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
Stasis Webifier II
Cap Recharger II
100MN Microwarpdrive II
EM Ward Field II

Highs :

Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Void L
Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Void L
Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Void L
Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Void L
Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Void L
Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Void L
Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Void L
Neutron Blaster Cannon II, Void L

Rigs :

Large Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer I
Large Core Defense Field Extender I
Large Semiconductor Memory Cell I

Drones :

Hobgoblin II x10

I cannot fly it yet, but it's a goal ...

That said, I'm currently toying with a sniper-fit for level 4 missions, the tank is paper thin, but with the MJD and over 100 kms of range, I should'nt need it anyway :

[Rokh, NIS Rokh]

Lows :

Signal Amplifier II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II

Mediums :

Large Micro Jump Drive
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script
Sensor Booster II, Scan Resolution Script
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
Caldari Navy X-Large Shield Booster

Highs :

425mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge L
425mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge L
425mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge L
425mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge L
425mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge L
425mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge L
425mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge L
425mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge L

Rigs :

Large Hybrid Locus Coordinator I
Large Hybrid Collision Accelerator I
Large Ancillary Current Router I

Drones :

Medium Armor Maintenance Bot II x2
Light Armor Maintenance Bot II x1
Hobgoblin II x5

I have double the tank AND double the damage with my usual Navy Scorpion with Fury Cruise missiles, but I'll try this one in a few missions and report my findings, if you want.

Train for gallente BS as the Mega/navy Mega are better ship. Use blaster with CN anti matter ammo while you wait for T2 guns. Get a T2 tank or you will be blapped even if you actually broadcast fast.
