Carebear alert! Criminals are bribing CONCORD to look the other way!

Attention all care bears, recently CONCORD has been accepting bribes to erase all negative status that criminals have and allow them to fly around even in Empire without consequence!

The reason you haven't heard of this is that CONCORD only advertises this in low security areas so you don't find out about it. All it takes is tag-type items costing 475 million to erase any criminal record, no matter how many murders they committed.

Take all appropriate action to bring the officials accepting these bribes to account.

I for one support CONCORD in their efforts to pay their bills and continue their services.
The alternative would be demanding money from the person that's being attacked in highsec. So you'd get a catalyst on your retriever, CONCORD shows up and demands 40mil before they take action against the daring Catalyst pilot. You would rather face that alternative? Roll

Who would you rather Concord extort? The former criminals who just want to clear their names and get on about their lives, or the honest hard-working (but slightly dim) miners who just can't let go of a grudge?

One way or another, the Concord forces *will* get paid. Who do you want paying those bills..?

They could just kill the Criminal, reprocess his Clones and take his Money. Would be way more efficient!

Just to help the dimwitted OP with the logic of this:

Within the game-logic, this isn't a bribe, since it would have to be front loaded money.
It is somewhat of a redemption system, you see?The idea behind it is that someone who has a criminal record can "clean his name" by doing "Acts of good" and chasing down especially sought after criminals in the name of Concord. The tags are sort of a "proof of kill" of those bad bad NPCs concord hates. And killing them will grace you in the eyes of society.

If anything, it is the capsuleers themselves (mostly CAREBEARS) who are the root of the evil, for it is only profit they seek, and in the hopes of making some tax free ISK, they sell those tax to some criminal who didn't do anything to earn them in order to clean his name.

It's just like real life.

So, Criminals aren't at fault, nor is CONCORD. Thank your fellow carebears for being spacepoor.
Also, WTF thread!

In the real world it's called community service and involves helping the elderly and cleaning graffiti etc as payment for past crimes.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Money at its root is a form of rationing. When the richest 85 people have as much wealth as the poorest 3.5 billion (50% of humanity) it is clear where the source of poverty is. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jan/20/trickle-down-economics-broken-promise-richest-85

I love farming the tags and then putting them up for outrageous prices at the CONCORD stations. No matter how much I charge, people still pay for them.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I think CONCORD should tax the dim miners to subsidize security tags for the criminals.

Everyone deserves a second chance, and it's up to society to pay the tab on that.
