Hello.
I am currently a subcap pilot, thinking of getting into capital ships.
Capital pilots, how did you raise enough ISK to buy your capitals? Did you grind in anomalies with a couple of accounts at 100m ISK/hr?
Or did you use a more crafty method of generating the income? If so, any tips?

You must be joking.
If you are not, then nulli can never ever hope to beat goons.

goons hand out cap ships like candy to players.
If you look at PL's public budget, they have a supercap subsidy budget.

FYI, giving the first carrier is pretty rare, according to public comments made by the leadership.

If you mean reimbursements, then yes, they are given out if you died on a proper operation with the right fits & skills and were not being a moron. (This is not the same as getting that first capital)

Though I would like all nulli supercapital pilots under progodlegend to be aware there are tons of dreadnaughts being given out like candy, so be careful when you try to drop your revenant on that lone nidhoggur

Look at it this way - a well fit carrier doesn't cost more than a high-end L4 mission or incursion ship (Mach or Nightmare).

If players can afford those ships readily, what is so hard to see for affording a capital?

That's not high-end mission running, that's "let's see what kind of ridiculous **** I can fit to my ship and still get away with it."

and it isnt so much the cap that costs for your first cap... its all those nice little skill books, and getting cyno alts set up etc

the carrier book is 500M or some stupidly high number
the dread one is 100M by comparison

I got mine with PLEX's

Surprise, we actually have thought about what happens when players shoot our expensive ship.

Yeah, 500mil from the NPCs

A t2 fit sentry carrier is like ... 1.5 bil to 2 bil or something.

I gave up on farming for ISK... Time vs ISK ratio isn't great.

Assuming you're working at minimum wage of $7.50 and 6 PLEX cost $104.97 which would result in about 3.4b ISK for 6 PLEX. You would have to farm for 46 hours (at 75m per hour) to get 3.4b. At 46 hours, you could've earned $345 (18 PLEX or 10.4b) at minimum wage.

Get a job and buy PLEX and sell it, then enjoy playing with the big ships...

Doing things and stuff in c5-c6 wormholes is how I afforded all my capitals

there are gas sites that if fully farmed will earn you a billion isk

and sleeper sites with cap escalations pay out very well, but obviously you need a handful of alts/corpmates already in capitals for that

Alavaria, why are you so serious about who is in which alliance?
I'm not currently an alliance leader, so I don't take insults about my corp/alliance ethos personally XD.
How did you afford your capital?

With an alliance full of worthless poors such as yourself it's no wonder that N3, the coalition that exists to destroy GSF, isn't making any progress.

Or use your brain ingame and trade . Takes a crapload less time then pve and saves a good amount on your rl wallet.

I bought my carrier with the isk i made from selling plex. When i dont use it in fleets i use it to make isk ratting anomalies in 0.0 space making 25mill pr tic. So i have paid it off twice using it for ratting and got enogh isk to buy a dread when im done skilling for it.

Every suggestion in here except maybe the guy who said scamming is a ****** one. Corp theft is the way to roll. You ever hear about those guys who join random wormhole corps with an alt and leave like 3 hours later and make off with 10b+? Or the nulsec corp thieves that make 100b or more? Where else you going to make 3b an hour? ******* nowhere.

Also your figures for ratting income are pretty inflated.

Chaining FHubs in a HAM Tengu with 1100 DPS still only nets me about 90-100M / hour.

Most people don't fund supercaps by ratting.

you are honestly blocking hubs with a tengu?

If you take your logic then sommer blink is the way to go , or haven't you heard about the guys who won titan bpo's and god knows what else with only a few minutes of their time invested in it.

On a sidenote the '' be a man '' line made me giggle ... because only thieves are reall men Roll.A miner takes more risk then a scammer or awoxer and that alone speaks volume .
