I like what they did with the nose, the hammerhead thing looks rather good. Everything else, not so much. If I may be blunt, it's a look only a mother could love. Everyone else will just stare and whisper. Hate to say it, but this expansion pack is gonna be hard on current Golem users, that's for sure. Just hope that this is for the Golem and not the other raven-class hulls too.

There is another possible solution to this problem. Make Manticore bigger and name it Golem.

The Golem should look like that frig for sure.

It'd look infinitely better if the smaller wing was on the side of the lance, and the larger wing on the opposite side.

Otherwise, the hammerhead look is growing on me.

well the wings still look gimpy and i kinda miss the scan array under the right wing but yeah from an other perspective its not that bad - still i will keep my opinion that now it reasembles a duck that hit a wall head on and went splat Twisted

I like the front it's different but fine.
The ugly part is the wings, they looked just tacked on at the end rather than part of the ships hull.

Now I'd fly that and look swish doing it...much better than the OP image.

EDIT: Yes, I'm a Golem pilot and "I'd fly that" was intended at the model.

Oh oh oh...I've just realised what the "transformation" might be!

You remember Aliens with the Colonial Marines and the Dropship? The wings folded out from the back of the Dropship when it hit atmosphere so picture this:

1) Bastion Mode Engage
2) Wings fold under the Golems fuselage creating a bastion like structure.

Come on CCP...make that crazy shizz happen! No "popped neon hoods" for the Caldari please Lol

i think those black plates on the new model are the actual bastion transform thingy and they will work like on the phoenix covering the "squishy" hull parts Twisted

See the two dark bits on the top front (before the prong) and underneith, those are where the animations happens.
