Hello.
I am currently a subcap pilot, thinking of getting into capital ships.
Capital pilots, how did you raise enough ISK to buy your capitals? Did you grind in anomalies with a couple of accounts at 100m ISK/hr?
Or did you use a more crafty method of generating the income? If so, any tips?

You must be joking.
If you are not, then nulli can never ever hope to beat goons.

goons hand out cap ships like candy to players.
If you look at PL's public budget, they have a supercap subsidy budget.

It used to be that most null sec denizens made billions upon billions every week doing PvE in secure null sec enclaves.
They top out at maybe 150 M / hour running anom's, but when you factor in all the escalations and the pirate BPC drops from those, plus the A-Type loot, it is an insane amount per hour.

When I lived in Pure Blind, which is terrible truesec, I made somewhat less than 100M / hour running anoms, and that was in a solo Ishtar, armour tanked. Guys with fighters assigned from a carrier did better. But I got wealthy out of the escalations and 10/10 loot drops.

Now, things have changed down there, since I lived in null.

Anyone with a CFC logo or CFC renter logo on the side of their ship not only rats in virtual complete safety, they have immense alliance level and corporate level income flowing in, supposedly that "trickles down" to the line members.

I can't speak to the East side of null sec PvE income, where there are a ton of caged rats all living in a ever shrinking cage.

But bottom line, a supercarrier, fully fitted, is in the 25 B to 35 B range. Even at 150 M / hour, that is about 250 hours, at the extreme top end, or ratting. For the likes of goons, it is way way less. 250 hours is a couple months of work for the typical null sec player.

A Titan, well, now you are in the 75B to 100B range. That is some serious coin, but easily accomplished if you live in a rich alliance. A poor one, it is brutal.

I have asked CCP before how many supercaps are in the game and even how many are now sitting on idled accounts.
But the cartels don't want that number made public, because it punches such a huge hole in the lie about how tough it is to live in null, and how high sec should be nerfed to level the playing field.

my capitals:
1st - Rorqual - mined ABC in 2010, took about 1-2 month (4 chars with hulks), 3-4 hours a day
2nd - Thanatos - farmed Drone Hordes in 2012 (1 char), 1-2 hours a day
3rd - Nyx (+ holder) - farmed 10/10 Drone Hive Mother escalations (2-3 chars) for like 4-6 months 1-2 escalation a day.

Never trust 0.0 people that high-sec gives more ISK. It's only true if you compare the best high-sec ISK source with the worst and stupidiest 0.0 farming

Ouch , that sounds like WAY too much work.

OW and Dinsdale Pirannha , i don't know if you have been or are a part of CFC or for that matter any big null Alliance out there but you seem to be looking through huge pink sunglasses.

You ever look at a CFC alliance's killboard? I mean, come on now...

"Supposedly" we have a really awesome reimbursement program and so do the other CFC alliances.

Also your figures for ratting income are pretty inflated.

Chaining FHubs in a HAM Tengu with 1100 DPS still only nets me about 90-100M / hour.

Most people don't fund supercaps by ratting.

You might want to look at my corp history, and then look at the alliance history of one of those corps.
Then look at the residential history of your own alliance.

FCON is in a lot better shape than it used to be, now that it is a goon pet.

And if you read a line above that :

You could have just said yes , or you can say hey look at my corp history then to x then to y on to z and back to e ...

Anyway onto the ''valid point':

A lot better state ? Appearantly you got a LOAD more out of it then anyone i know who is not in high command , both in CFC or any other major Alliance .You got wartime SRP wich funds pvp ships ....and uhm peacetime SRP wich funds Alliance pvp doctrine fits and uhm ... uhm ... well yeah you got that.

How many titans/supers do you think exist? I can give you some numbers when i get home, but I think you vastly overestimate the numbers.

Super simple way to make isk, SELL A CHARACTER.

Anything else is too boring.

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

1 : dock in a station in your pod.
2 : receive a free noob ship AND a free tritanium.
3 : reprocess the noob ship for FREE materials.
4 : after a few months, you will be able to build your capital ship without spending a isk (- manufacturing cost)
