i am currently in the process of training for an ishtar (then on to t3 cruisers) and am looking for help with ratting in serpentis space.
will this fit work for serpentis?? was thinking using heavy drones in stead of sentry's as well if they are still a viable option.

It only has a 337dps passive tank against Serpentis so you can't run the higher end combat anomalies sadly. However you should be able to do the high sec ones easily.10MN AB is far better because you're sacrificing too much to get a 100mn on there and your agility will be so horrible that you often won't get up to max speed anyway. Also the 10MN is required to help speed tank the rats. Also, no, heavies aren't viable they are too slow and will die alot when drones aggro them, also they do far less actual damage because of the time taken to go between each target.

Once you get skilled up for the Ishtar you should definitely go Ishtar as it's amazing at running anomalies because the Sentry optimal and tracking bonus is extremely good. It can get a 500dps cap-stable Serpentis tank while still having 2 DDAs and 63km optimal with Gardes. All this and you can still have a cloak, MWD and probe launcher fitted so you can use it to do low-sec sites solo. Here's a fit:

This will give you close to 1k passive ken / thermal tank, 500 dps. It'll do most null serp sites, maybe with the exception of the prison because of the web sentries. You can do it but use active hardners, overheated will give you 1700dps tank but you'll have to drop your wardens and pop the towers asap, kill the webbing scrambling frigs with Ogres and you'll be set.

Pretty hairy. If I think my tank is failing I pop my lights out and the elite frigs drop the scrams and focus on them. Like little mobile wcs.

I fit my Ishtar exactly the same as this but a little more pimped, 1800 dps tank., extremely easy to do sites with.
