So CCP, how about giving us a hard number

How about one of your devs run a SQL command and give us a snapshot of what the High Sec Custom Offices overall taxes were for the month of Sept, so the community understands the size of the pie being discussed.

I imagine you have already run that command several times already, given you have been fooling with the tax rates and you would not mess with them without knowing the hard numbers behind it.

So why can't you simply publicize the numbers?

ask 'em on twitter?

e: they actually talk about stats on twitter, or they used to? is that still a thing ccp does?

Because their ruse will be ruffled.

CCP stopped giving us meaningful numbers, now we are like mushrooms, covered in manure and left to grow in the dark.

Because while a small percent of the player bases fuse the forums, and even fewer read Twitter.

Why would they?

More importantly, why *should* they?

I was left in the dark covered in manure once.

That also marked the last time I said to a girl: *sure, Ill try everything once*.

Yup they do. I've even seen CCP Fozzie say something like, "hey, too big an answer for twitter, here I made a forum post about it instead."

Themeparker Carebears, this kind of species knows alot about SQL commands, but unfortunately they know nothing about Sandbox MMO-RPG's.

Not since Diagoras left. Been gone for almost 2 years now tbh.

I dunno, maybe it's me, but when I read that post I kept getting the feeling that he was barely restraining himself from typing something snide about CCP, null sec, goons or null sec (not a typo there, Dinsdale hates null sec twho times).

I just imagine a "not" conspiracy/hate filled post was hard for him to crank out. Somehow, his sig ("Most people viewed Orwell's writings as a warning. The harper regime and the goons treat them as a guidebook.") tells me everything i need to know about the guy behind the keyboard.

The conspiracy post is pending; either they give him numbers for him to fit his conspiracy to, or the conspiracy becomes not giving him the numbers.

Sort of a "'Heads' I win, 'tails' you lose" proposition. Which is why I'd never give those numbers out, myself. If I'm going to be the butt of a conspiracy theory, I'd be damned if I'd give the whacko any information. Let 'em work for it. Can't see as CCP is going to be any more accomodating than I would be.

1 is a hard number. It's also got sharp pointy edges.

Anyway, Eve needs some Sharknado's.

Pi, OTOH, is a kinda fuzzy number. Sorta fades off in the distance, whereever you get tired of calculating.
Pie, on the other other hand, is not a number at all. Nor has it sharp pointy edges.

I have been threatened with being 'stabbed in teh face' with Pie, but never with Pi. I wonder why that is?
