Which ship for pimp drone region anomalies?

Legion, rattlesnake, paladin, nightmare, machsriel, or navy Armageddon. Willing to spend 2 - 2.5b on fittings, and it will be a solo fit. Any opinions on which is best within that budget? I'd also be happy to hear fitting ideas as I am unsure quite how much tank I will need in a practical sense.

Assume perfect skills.

Legion seems to be the best, but my Rattlesnake is great for semi afk ratting. The Mach fit as expensively as the legion won't be quite as good, but its still a decent ship

The RS is the king of PvE, one of the few ships able to solo L5s and 10 of 10s, can get 1,100 DPS out of her if you have your missiles and drone skills up and has the best shield tank by far of any ship BS and under.

If you use one don't engage with any drone but sentries unless the target is 10km or less. And use cruise missiles

Doesn't Scorp Navy Issue kind of obsolete the Rattlesnake? It's got a better tank and comparable DPS, and has full damage type selection for all of its DPS. RS is mainly just good for passive shield tanking due to its low shield recharge time, SNI is a much better active tanker.

The obvious answer is "carrier", really. It'll be the same price when you're done fitting it.

Still, out of all of those, the Machariel stands out for it's dps and resist profile. Rogue drones are very similar to Angels in damage profiles. You can however, get similar results from both the Rattlesnake and Scorpion Navy Issue, which will sport better tanks.

I would also consider the face-melting potential of the overlooked Typhoon Fleet Issue. You'll need 3 different weapons skills to make it work well, however.

Nightmare and Paladin will out tick a Machariel but all those 3 will be great isk earners, Legions only need a t2 fit so a lot cheaper and safer to use and are not that far behind isk wise , tbh i think i would take a legion first and make up you're own mind once you do a bit.

You will be disapointed if you went for any other options mentioned, the bottom line is they just don't kill as fast as you'd want them too for spending out so much isk.

DPS over tank is what you want and lasers really smash into drones and a dead rat not only doesn't shoot back but also gives you isk :)

Just to chime in that the cheap t2 solution with close to top rank perfomrance is the Zealot.
